he Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team on Friday. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by HFL senior Caitlin Muir who was named Player of the Year. She finished the season with 64g-30a.  She will continue to play next season at Michigan.

t the conclusion of the Class B Tournament, the All Tournament Team was announced.  The Team consists of the top 13 players in the Class B Tournament this year.  There are 12 regular spots and an MVP spot.

ith only 4 teams in Class A, their tournament will not begin until the Semi-Finals.  The remaining three classes will play their Quarter Finals on May 23rd and 24th with the higher seed having a home game.

# 272  Glagolev Leads Thomas to Victory
homas scored the first eight goals in their 13-10 win over Pal-Mac.  The Titans Emily Glagolev finished with 4g-1a and a team leading 10 draw controls.  She was one of the major factors in the win, making her presence known on offense and defense.  Her dominance at the draws caused the Red Raiders to double her at the circle.  That gave Gabriella Vasile free reign on the far side to win four draws herself.  The possession control helped the Titans control the pace of the game.

# 243  Thomas wins Webster v. Webster Match
ebster Thomas defeated Webster Schroeder in the battle of the Webster High Schools 12-6.  Emily Glagolev turned the tied with three straight goals in just over three minutes.  Glagolev finished with 5g on the night.  Tonight, was the first time back to Titan stadium for Schroeder Head Coach Brian Hanley after moving from Assistant Coach at Thomas to Head Coaching at Schroeder this season.  During the team introductions, he was warmly greeted by his former team.

here were 10 matches this afternoon.  Two of the games were one goal games with Geneva defeating Wayne 9-8 and Spencerport defeating Canandaigua 10-9.  Other games included, Gananda over Ath/Ody 8-5, Oly/Arc over Gates Chili 21-6, Ithaca over Irondequoit 11-8, Marcus Whitman over Newark 16-6, Waterloo over Midlakes 17-4, Pal-Mac over Mynderse 17-5, Thomas over Mercy 21-10 and Brighton over HFL 13-5.

oming off a break week, there were eight games tonight.  There were three one goal games tonight: Victor over Thomas 9-8, Wayne over Newark 7-6 and Schroeder over Hilton 14-13.  Additional scores were Greece Arc/Oly defeated Eastridge 18-6, Penfield defeated Churchville-Chili 13-6, Marcus Whitman defeated Livonia 17-7, Pittsford over Rush-Henrietta 13-3 and Geneva defeated East Rochester 10-3.

here were three more matches played today.  Victor travel to Pennsylvania for their first of two games.  Today they lost to Episcopal 13-9 for the third time since 2011.  Back in Section Five, Thomas defeated Hilton 15-5 and Schroeder defeated Penn Yan 16-7.

# 211  Coykendall Leads Spencerport
Emily Coykendall was a part of all six first quarter goals in Spencerport's 12-8 win over Webster Thomas.  The Rangers led 6-2 at the half and held off the late advance by the Titans.  Thomas scored five out of six straight goals near the end of the second half (the final goal of the game was an open net goal for the Rangers).

eyton Smith finished with 4g-2a and was named "Five Star Bank Mortgage" Player of the Game.  The Braves led 12-10 after an 8m goal from Kenzie Lupton at 1:24 remaining in the game and held off a late advance by the Titans.

Eight more games were played tonight with half being decided by less than two points.  The closest game of the night was Pittsford's 6-5 overtime win over Fairport. Spencerport also defeated Victor 13-12, Thomas over RH 9-8 and Churchville Chili over Hilton 11-9.  In addition, Penfield defeated Schroeder 11-6, Brighton defeated Baldwinsville 10-5, Livonia defeated Newark 9-6 and Gananda defeated Wayne 5-1.

# 135  Thomas Defense Steps up in Overtime Win
n the second game of the tournament where the lower seed won, #5 Thomas defeated #4 Irondequoit 10-9 in double overtime.  The Titans` defense was stellar and they were the keystone to their victory.  Sophmore Keyal Bay, juniors Julia Nicolosi and Grace Lagoner and senior Allison Barnes and junior goalie Haley Barrett deserve more press than they will receive.  The five close defenseman, along with their midfield counterparts were beyond impressive in today`s contest.  In addition to the defense, junior midfielder Emily Glagolev had a stand-out day at the draw.  She finished with 10 draw controls for the Titans.

Out-Bracket games will be played over the next two days.  There are 10 total out-bracket games with five in each Class B and Class C.  Four of the games are scheduled for Friday and six are scheduled for Saturday.  This story will be updated tomorrow as more games are reported.

# 105  Messier and Hawryschuk in Victor Comeback
Kaci Messier and Emily Hawryschuk were major factors in the Victor comeback against Webster Thomas.  Victor outscored Thomas 7-3 in the second half and didn't take the lead until seven minutes into the second half.

# 79  Thomas Scored Five of Last Six in Win
n the battle of the Webster High Schools, Thomas defeated Schreoder 11-9.  The game was a story of two halves with Schroeder winning the first half 7-4 and Thomas winning the second half 7-2.  The Titans led for the 16 minutes before Schroeder scored four unanswered goals to take a 7-4 lead at the end of the first half.  Coming out of halftime, Thomas scored two quick back to back goals from Emily Glagolev and Abby Quinlan.  The Warriors' Casey Roux scored with an assist from Payton Lill with 22:21 remaining to re-gain a two goal lead.

With nine games being played, tonight was the biggest night of the season.  The closest contest was HFL over Penfield 11-10 in overtime.  Another close game was Canandaigua over R-H 8-5.  There were also a number of one sided contests with Hilton defeated Eastridge 22-0, Spencerport over Arc/Oly 22-4 and Brockport 13-2 over Ath/Ody.

# 18  2015 All-Greater Rochester
The 2015 All Greater Rochester list was published at the end of the season and Webster Thomas senior Emily Resnick was named the 2015 Player of the Year by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.  All told, sixteen players were noted on the list.  Leading the charge were players from Churchville Chili, Victor, Pittsford and Irondequoit with two players each.
