he Monroe County League has released their 2018 All League awards.  In total there were 53 1st Team picks and 51 2nd Team picks.  In addition, each of the three divisions had a Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards.

he Rochester Chapter of US Lacrosse has announced the 2018 Herb Fitch Lacrosse All Star Game player selections. This year`s contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Thursday, June 14th at Victor High School. The boys`game will start at 8:00 PM after the girls` play at 6:00 PM and the youth clinic which starts at 4:30.

# 387  Spencerport Scores in Final Minutes to Advance
Camryn Sack scored the game winning goal with 1:54 remaining in regulation off a feed from Erin Coykendall to give second seeded Spencerport the 11-10 win over seventh seeded Webster Schroeder.  Earlier in the season, Spencerport also won their first matchup 12-8.  Tonight, the Rangers relied on three players to score 17 out 18 points.  Coykendall finished with 2g-5a to lead.  Natalie Choate (5g) and Sack (3g-2a) finished with five points each.

he Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team on Friday. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by HFL senior Caitlin Muir who was named Player of the Year. She finished the season with 64g-30a.  She will continue to play next season at Michigan.

fter a close first half, Webster Schroeder pulled away with four unanswered goals early in the second half.  The Warriors defeated Brockport 13-8.  Schroeder scored the opening goal and although Brockport forced three ties, the Warriors never trailed.  Payton Lill (3g-2a) and Madison Bell (5g) led in scoring for Schroeder.  Leah Daly (4g-1a) led for the Blue Devils.

anandaigua came back from trailing by three to defeat Webster Schroeder 11-9.  The Braves scored six unanswered goals to end the first half and start off the second.  Canandaigua scored the first goal of the game with an unassisted goal from Emma O’Neill.  The Warriors responded with three in a row to take the lead.  Payton Lill scored two with Madison Bell scoring the third.  Canandaigua stayed close and tied the game at 3-3 and 4-4.  Webster scored their fifth goal with another unassisted goal from Lill.  0:12 later, Abby Moon scored for the Warriors.  Bell recorded her second assist to Kelsey Nelson with 8:44 remaining in the first half. The Warrior did not score again until 8:44 remained in the second half.

ebster Thomas defeated Webster Schroeder in the battle of the Webster High Schools 12-6.  Emily Glagolev turned the tied with three straight goals in just over three minutes.  Glagolev finished with 5g on the night.  Tonight, was the first time back to Titan stadium for Schroeder Head Coach Brian Hanley after moving from Assistant Coach at Thomas to Head Coaching at Schroeder this season.  During the team introductions, he was warmly greeted by his former team.

ebster Schroeder scored the final three goals of the contest to comeback and defeat Hilton 14-13.  The Warriors led early in the game before Hilton took the lead for a large portion of the second half.  Schroeder held the Cadets scoreless for the final 11:57 while scoring the tying and game winning goals in the final 1:11.

# 79  Thomas Scored Five of Last Six in Win
n the battle of the Webster High Schools, Thomas defeated Schreoder 11-9.  The game was a story of two halves with Schroeder winning the first half 7-4 and Thomas winning the second half 7-2.  The Titans led for the 16 minutes before Schroeder scored four unanswered goals to take a 7-4 lead at the end of the first half.  Coming out of halftime, Thomas scored two quick back to back goals from Emily Glagolev and Abby Quinlan.  The Warriors' Casey Roux scored with an assist from Payton Lill with 22:21 remaining to re-gain a two goal lead.

Schroeder scored four of the last six goals to defeat Penn Yan 9-7.  The Warriors move to 3-1 with the win and the Mustangs fell to 2-3.  Sophomore Kelsey Nelson finished with four goals for Schroeder.  Payton Lill, also a sophomore, finished with 3g-1a and continues to lead the team in goals with a season total of 12g-5a.  The season totals for Schroeder can be found HERE.

ophomore Payton Lill scored back to back goals for Schroeder to give them the lead going into the second half.  The Warriors defeated Churchville-Chili 15-7.  Although Schroeder pulled away in the second half, the first 15 minutes of the contest were back and forth.

With four out of Section games and one intra-section match, the games are coming faster in Section Five.  Mercy kept their 13 game winning streak alive against Livonia with a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs.  Schroeder defeated Lancaster 11-5 for the first time since 2012.  Canandaigua lost another one goal game against an out of Section competitor with an 8-7 loss to Bethlehem.

# 18  2015 All-Greater Rochester
The 2015 All Greater Rochester list was published at the end of the season and Webster Thomas senior Emily Resnick was named the 2015 Player of the Year by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.  All told, sixteen players were noted on the list.  Leading the charge were players from Churchville Chili, Victor, Pittsford and Irondequoit with two players each.
