Late-Game Heroics Highlight Section V Lacrosse

- DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - A dramatic day of Section V girls lacrosse saw Riley Brown score eight goals, including a game-winner with eight seconds left, to lift Rush-Henrietta past Thomas 13-12, while Fairport's Brenna Goss converted a free-position shot with 24 seconds remaining to edge Brighton 5-4. Penn Yan rolled to its fifteenth win behind four-goal games from Bailey Cooper and Makenna Mullins, Spencerport's Brooke Endres dominated with seven goals and 16 draw controls in a 15-2 rout of Greece Storm, and Penfield stretched its winning streak to ten straight with a 10-8 victory over South Jefferson.
