Two Thrillers Set the Stage for Section V Finals

- DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - Today's girls lacrosse semifinals delivered two thrillers and two convincing wins. No. 2 Victor edged No. 3 Irondequoit 9-8 in overtime in a Class B semifinal, and top-seeded Pittsford held off No. 4 Canandaigua 12-10 in the other Class B matchup.  In Class C, No. 1 Honeoye Falls-Lima rolled past Wayne 20-3 behind four goals each from Harper Jacob and Shaye Angelo, while No. 2 Livonia-Avon-Geneseo got five goals and four assists from Lily Rowe in a 12-9 win over Geneva. The finals are set: Victor vs. Pittsford in Class B, and Honeoye Falls-Lima vs. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo in Class C.

WAYNE-3 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-20 - Harper Jacob and Shaye Angelo each scored four goals to lead Honeoye Falls-Lima to a 20-3 Class C semifinal win over Wayne, sending the Cougars to the final against Livonia-Avon-Geneseo.    [Story and BOX SCORE

IRONDEQUOIT-8 at VICTOR-9 - Camryn Adrid's three goals carried Victor to a 9-8 overtime win over Irondequoit in a Class B semifinal thriller, setting up a final against Pittsford.    [Story and BOX SCORE

CANANDAIGUA-10 at PITTSFORD-12 - Pittsford held off a strong Canandaigua effort, 12-10, in a Class B semifinal, setting up a Pittsford-Victor final.  Lola Schorr scored four goals for the Gray Wolves in a losing cause.  No statistics were reported for Pittsford.    [Story and BOX SCORE
