Penn Yan and Penfield Repeat as Champions
June 2, 2026 - DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - Penn Yan claimed its fourth 
consecutive Class D title with a dominant performance, as Bailey Cooper led the way with six goals, two assists, and 14 draw controls, with Addison Gillette and Makenna Mullins each adding three goals. The Mustangs advance to face Section VI's Eden in the sub-regional round. In Class A, top-seeded Penfield held off Fairport to repeat as champions, with eighth-grader Mya Christian leading the Red Raiders with three goals in a losing effort. The Patriots advance to face Lancaster in the sub-regional round to defend their state title.
