HFL Takes Championship
June 2, 2026 - LIVONIA-AVON-GENESEO-3 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-18 - In what has become an annual rite of spring in western New York, HF-L captured yet another class C sectional championship with its win over LIvonia-Avon-Geneseo. The Cougars, who advance to play Hamburg (VI) in a sub-regional contest on Thursday, have now won the class C sectional title in every season but one dating back to 2012.
Shaye Angelo (6g/2a), Harper Jacob (5g), and Greta Goodberlet (4g) led the scoring for HF-L. Shaye Angelo and Harper Jacob also combined to collect 18 draw controls. Cameron McRae had two goals and an assist.
There were no statistics reported from LIvonia-Avon-Geneseo (16-3) at post time.
