Six Different Scorers Lift Waterloo over Geneva

- In a game that was never more than two goals apart, Waterloo defeated Geneva 7-5.  The Indians had six different girls score their seven goals.  There were only two times in the entire game where the same team scored back to back with Waterloo adding two both times.  All five goals for Geneva were scored by different girls.

Alicia Reuscher scored the opening goal for the Panthers only 0:36 into the contest to give the Panthers the lead.  Waterloo scored their first set of back to back goals with unassisted goals from Logan Castiglione and Amaya Soto to take their first lead.  The Indians led or tied for the remainder of the contest.  In all their only trailed for 31 seconds.

Scoring continued back and forth with Megan Sands (Geneva) and Alberta Eschenour (Waterloo) scoring.  Mallorey FitzGerald scored the final goal of the first half with the only assisted goal of the game (assisted by Lily Sellers) for the Panthers.  The score was tied 3-3 at the half.

The second half started with two more pairs of goals (one from each team).  Until Waterloo scored back to back goals to end the game at 4:01 and 2:40.  Emily Smith and Devon Reese scored the final two goals for the Indians.  In the cage for Waterloo, Vanessa Walters finished at 69% with 11 saves.  For the Panthers, Sydne Evans finished with six recorded saves.

A key stat for the Panthers came in draw-controls.  Geneva won 9/13 draws with Sellers (3) and Reuscher (4) taking the majority of the wins.
