This is the second time the Eagles have lost in overtime this season. The game was back and forth with three lead changes. The Wildcats fought back from a three goal deficit in the second half to take the lead and force Wayne to send the game into overtime.
Charlotte Alvord and James scored the opening two goals to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead in the first two minutes. Hannah Zenelovic scored her lone goal next for the Eagles. Emily Thompson scored for Marcus Whitman with 21:21 to go up 3-1. Wayne scored six of the next seven goals to go from trailing by two to leading by three.
