Aquinas Remains Undefeated

- Aq vs. GanAquinas increased their record to 8-0 with a 14-3 win over Gananda.  The Little Irish scored 14 straight goals before Gananda scored the final three.

The Little Irish were led in scoring by Erica Knapp with 5g-1a.  Knapp scored four of the first five goals in the game on very similar plays.  She cut the center just above the crease and got a feed into the center.  Alana Piano, Lindsey Brinkel, Sophia DePalma and Georgia Pavone each assisted one of her goals.

DePalma finished the game with 3g-2a.  Her third goal of the night was at 16:35 and was her 100th career goal.  Another standout goal came off an assist from Knapp.  She held her feed patiently waiting for a cut and found Pavone open as she moved to the crease.  Her pass was to where Pavone was heading and caught up to her just as she reached the crease.  Brinkel (5) and Pavone (4) led in draw controls for the Little Irish.

For Gananda, the opening goal was scored by Alexa Ciprich off an 8m shot.  Defenseman Mikayla Sengle and midfielder Melissa Camp scored the remaining two goals.  Midfielder Jenna Ginsberg recorded five draw controls for the Blue Panthers.
