Monroe County End of Season Awards have 50 First and 50 Second Team All County Players.  In addition there were 4 All Americans and 4 Academic All Americans.  As well as Defensive Players of the Year, a Midfielder of the Year and an Offensive Player of the Year.

# 135  Thomas Defense Steps up in Overtime Win
n the second game of the tournament where the lower seed won, #5 Thomas defeated #4 Irondequoit 10-9 in double overtime.  The Titans` defense was stellar and they were the keystone to their victory.  Sophmore Keyal Bay, juniors Julia Nicolosi and Grace Lagoner and senior Allison Barnes and junior goalie Haley Barrett deserve more press than they will receive.  The five close defenseman, along with their midfield counterparts were beyond impressive in today`s contest.  In addition to the defense, junior midfielder Emily Glagolev had a stand-out day at the draw.  She finished with 10 draw controls for the Titans.

# 130  Out-Bracket Games

Out-Bracket games will be played over the next two days.  There are 10 total out-bracket games with five in each Class B and Class C.  Four of the games are scheduled for Friday and six are scheduled for Saturday.  This story will be updated tomorrow as more games are reported.

# 119  Biggest Game Night Left This Season

With the final week of the regular season upon us, tonight was the biggest night of games left in the season.  The closest game tonight was Corning over Penn Yan 12-11 in overtime and Waterloo over Geneva 8-7 in overtime.  Other close games included, Brockport over Hilton 8-7, Irondequoit over Canandaigua 8-7 and Brighton over HFL 6-5.  Additional games were Churchville-Chili over Victor 11-7, Pittsford over Thomas 18-8, Fairport over Penfield 12-8, Arc/Oly over Gates Chili 15-6, Gananda over East Rochester 9-5, Wayne over Newark 12-7, Spencerport over Eastridge 19-2 and RH over Mercy 16-4.

# 111  Red Raiders Comeback and Win over Overtime
airport is becoming used to playing in overtime.  In the last four games, the Red Raiders have gone to overtime three times and won all three.  Maddie Howe scored her third goal of the night with 1:11 left in overtime to secure the victory.

# 102  Free Position Goals Give Irondequoit the Win
rondequoit scored the final four goals of the contest to defeat Webster Schroeder 9-7.  The Eagles have won the contest all eight times that the two teams have played in the last 10 years.  After tonight's game, the Eagles increase their record to 7-4 and the Warriors fall to 4-8.

# 83  Irondequoit's Melidona and Butler are Keys in Victory
idfielder Quinn Melidona and attackman Marina Butler were both key figures in Irondequoit's 10-8 win over Rush-Henrietta.  The Eagles led for nearly the entire contest with R-H only tying the game briefly 4-4 early in the second half.  Butler finished the game with 1g-3a and Melidona was a force on defense for the Eagles.  Four different players scored two goals for Irondequoit with Celina Alvarado, Annie Brennan, Kiersten Pease and Erika Sherwood scoring.

Twelve more games in Section Five with multiple close contests.  Rush-Henrietta defeated Churchville-Chili 9-8, Fairport defeated Canandaigua 8-6 and Irondequoit defeated Penfield in overtime 5-4. Additionally, Penn Yan defeated Mynderse 11-8, Brockport over Gates Chili 17-6, Pittsford over HFL 14-4, Pal-Mac over Jordan Elbridge 17-12, Spencerport over Ath/Ody 19-3, Wayne over Newark 12-4.

# 71  Brennan Scores in Overtime
nnie Brennan scored her second goal of the night to give Irondequoit the 5-4 win over Penfield in first sudden victory overtime period.  This is the second overtime loss of the season for the Patriots.

# 57  Pittsford over Irondequoit 9-6
he Panthers scored five of the last seven goals to defeat Irondequoit 9-6.  The game was back and forth for the first 25 minutes, but Pittsford led or had a tied score for the majority of the game.  The Ealges came out shooting with Annie Brennan scoring only 1:50 into the contest.  The Panthers scored the next four goals to take a 4-1 lead with 5:00 left in the first quarter.  Irondequoit added tow more goals before halftime and Pittsford led 4-3 at halftime.

With nine games being played, tonight was the biggest night of the season.  The closest contest was HFL over Penfield 11-10 in overtime.  Another close game was Canandaigua over R-H 8-5.  There were also a number of one sided contests with Hilton defeated Eastridge 22-0, Spencerport over Arc/Oly 22-4 and Brockport 13-2 over Ath/Ody.

# 27  Irondequoit's Alvarado and Pease Lead Team to Victory
Irondequoit's Kierston Pease (2g-1a) and Celina Alvarado (2g-2a) were instrumental in the Eagles 6-5 victory over Pal-Mac.  Pease and Alvardo scored the first four goals to take control of the game.

# 18  2015 All-Greater Rochester
The 2015 All Greater Rochester list was published at the end of the season and Webster Thomas senior Emily Resnick was named the 2015 Player of the Year by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.  All told, sixteen players were noted on the list.  Leading the charge were players from Churchville Chili, Victor, Pittsford and Irondequoit with two players each.
