Post Season Play for 2026
After the regular season, there are several championship opportunities for teams that qualify. First up are the Section Five Tournaments for four classes (A-B-C-D).
Sectionals winners then compete in the New York State Tournament which culminates in a championship weekend where the State Champions are determined.
Beginning after Week #3 Sectional Seeding will be posted at the end of the Week on the Section V website. Final Seeding will be released on GLaxFive and the Section V Website.
Tournament Seeding: The 2026 seeding meeting will be on May 15/16.
- End of the season coaches meeting on May 28th.
- Last regular season games can be scheduled on May 15th.
- Round 1 games for Class B and D May 19th at higher seed.
- Quarterfinals for Class B, C and D on May 22nd or May 23rd at higher seed.
- Semifinals for Class A at Webster Thomas HS on May 26th.
- Semifinals for Class D at Wayne HS on May 26th.
- Semifinals for Class B at HFL on May 27th.
- Semifinals for Class C at Pal-Mac on May 27th.
- Championships for Class A and Class D at St. John Fisher on June 1st.
- Championships for Class B and Class C at St. John Fisher on June 2nd.
Sub-Regionals D and A will be hosted by Section V at Churchville-Chili on June 4th.
Sub-Regionals C and B will be hosted by Section V at Spencerport on June 4th.
Sub-regionals vs winners of Section IV/III sub-regionals: All classes that move forward will play at Rush-Henrietta on June 6th.
States will be hosted at SUNY Cortland on June 12th and 13th.
