ince the conclusion of the season, we have worked to collect all the Post Season Awards to release at a single time.  As we approach a week out from the State Finals, we have determined that we cannot wait any longer.  Tonight, we posted all the information that we have received and will update the missing data when it is provided.  We have received some requests to update individual personal pages and apologize to those waiting to see their records updated.

# 465  Penultimate Night of the Regular Season

On the second to last night of the season, all nine scheduled games were played.  There are now only 3 games left in the season.  Seeding is nearly completed and present (HERE).  Much of the seeding appears stable, but we are watching a few key matchups that can make changes in the final seedings.  We will publish them as soon as possible tomorrow night.

Tonight's closest game was Wayne 9-8 over Gananda.  Additional scores included Greece over Gates Chili 19-0, Irondequoit over Thomas 8-4, Hilton over HFL 11-8, Spencerport over Fairport 13-5, Mynderse-Romulus over Geneva 15-8, Waterloo over Marcus Whitman 11-5, Pal-Mac over Penn Yan 18-4 and Pittsford over Brighton 10-7.

here were four games tonight with the closest coming in Mynderse-Romulus defeating Waterloo 7-6 in overtime.  The remaining scores were Newark-Midlakes over Wayne 13-11, Aquinas over Gananda 14-8 and Pal-Mac over Geneva 19-2.

# 427  Multiple One Sides Games on Monday Night

There were 11 games scheduled for tonight in Section Five; we are still pending scores for Eastridge vs. Thomas and Mercy vs. Clarence.  Hopefully, those will be updated soon.  Of the nine remaining games, half were decided by over 10 points.  There were still close match-ups with Geneva defeating Wayne 9-8 and Waterloo defeating Aquinas 8-7.  The remaining scores were Marcus Whitman over Gananda 17-6, Churchville-Chili over Brockport 15-4, Spencerport over Victor 18-5, Mynderse-Romulus over Livonia 18-8, Hilton over Penn Yan 13-6, Brighton over Schroeder 16-7 and Irondequoit over Gates Chili 21-2.

here were seven games played tonight in Section Five.  Five of the seven were against out of town opponets.  The closest matchup was Penn Yan over Aquinas 9-8.  Penfield defeated South Jefferson 10-7 and Waterloo defeated Whitesboro 12-9.  The remaining scores were Pal-Mac over Hamburg 22-8, Newark-Midlakes over Sweet Home 14-4, Marcus Whitman over Owego 7-3 and Schroeder over Greece Storm 15-5.

ith Brighton postponing their game versus Liverpool, there were nine games played tonight in Section Five.  The closest match-up was Pittsford's double overtime win vs. Canandaigua 7-6 and Brockport's win over Gates-Chili 10-8.  Other scores included, Churchville-Chili over Eastridge 16-4, Mercy over Magnificat 16-7, Pal-Mac over Gananda 15-1, Waterloo over Geneva 15-2, Fairport over Thomas 14-5, Victor over HFL 16-8 and Spencerport over Schroeder 16-5.

he Finger Lakes has released their 2018 All League Awards and Final Stadings.  The Nine team division released 15 1st Team Awards, 15 2nd Team Awards and 17 3rd Team Awards.  Additionally, Player of the Year honors were given to the top defenseman, attacker and midfielder.  Waterloo's Andy Lee was named Coach of the Year.

inger Lakes end of season awards come in with 25 First and 24 Second Team All County Players.  There are also 20 Honorable Mention Players.  In addition, there were 2 All Americans and 2 Academic All Americans.  As well as Defense Player of the Year, a Midfield Player of the Year and an Attack Player of the Year.

# 259  Waterloo Scores Seven Straight to Start Second Half
ayne hosted their fifth annual “Cradle for a Cure” event today. Waterloo defeated the Eagles 17-9.  The “Cradle for a Cure” event began five years ago as a fundraising/awareness event after a local lacrosse player received a cancer diagnosis.  Every year since, Wayne has hosted a multigame event with boys and girls lax with the hope of donating to both local charities and a local family in need of assistance.  After this game, the Boys hosted Gananda and defeated the Panthers 23-5 (HERE).
