Post Season Awards
Since the conclusion of the season, we have worked to collect all the Post Season Awards to release at a single time. As we approach a week out from the State Finals, we have determined that we cannot wait any longer. Tonight, we posted all the information that we have received and will update the missing data when it is provided. We have received some requests to update individual personal pages and apologize to those waiting to see their records updated.

There were nine games tonight with two games going into overtime. Irondequoit defeated Fairport 7-6 and Wayne defeated Aquinas 12-11. Remaining scores included Greece over Geneva 13-3, HFL over Penn Yan 13-4, Mynderse-Romulus over Waterloo 12-7, Canandaigua over South Jefferson 7-6 and Newark-Midlakes over Livonia 14-7.

Penfield scored nine goals in the first half on their way to a 12-7 win over Irondequoit. The Eagles had six different players make their offensive scorebook with Bridget Inclema leading the pack with 2g-1a. Erika Sherwood (1g-1a) and Maddie Verhagen (1g-1a) also added to the totals. Victor defeats Irondequoit
Victor defeated Irondequoit 17-10. The Blue Devils scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed. The Eagles kept the game close for a while, before the Blue Devils slowly pulled away. The opening goal was scored by Danielle Colucci with a feed from behind the cage by Riley Urzetta. Only 0:12 later, Kylie Gelabert scored on a fast-break after grabbing the draw control directly from the circle. Another 0:14 later, Lucy Haggerty scored off an inside feed from Hannah Kumpf. The Blue Devils scored three goals in under 27 seconds.
Seven Games on Wednesday
There were seven games played tonight in Section Five. Canandaigua remained undefeated at 4-0 with their 9-8 win over Thomas in the closest matchup of the night. In other scores, West Genesee defeated RH 10-3, Pittsford defeated Brighton 7-4, Schroeder defeated Eastridge 14-1, Mercy defeated Clarence 14-6, Victor defeated Brockport 14-3 and Irondequoit defeated Churchville-Chili 18-6.

Erika Sherwood finished with four assists in Irondequoit's 7-6 win over Mercy tonight. Sherwood was the driving force behind the come from behind win. The Monarchs took an early 4-1 lead in the first half before the Eagles scored four unanswered goals (three assisted by Sherwood) to take the 5-4 lead less than 3 minutes into the second half. The Eagles continued to play solid defense and not take too many chances and held off Mercy's late attempts to tie the game.

Only a single game was played in the first week of the 2017 season. With a number of games postponned due to weather, only Irondequoit vs. Baldwinsville was played this week.
