Victor defeats Irondequoit
Victor defeated Irondequoit 17-10. The Blue Devils scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed. The Eagles kept the game close for a while, before the Blue Devils slowly pulled away. The opening goal was scored by Danielle Colucci with a feed from behind the cage by Riley Urzetta. Only 0:12 later, Kylie Gelabert scored on a fast-break after grabbing the draw control directly from the circle. Another 0:14 later, Lucy Haggerty scored off an inside feed from Hannah Kumpf. The Blue Devils scored three goals in under 27 seconds.
Messier Leads Victor
Kaci Messier was a key player all over the field in Victor’s 16-5 win over Greece Olympia-Arcadia. The Blue Devils led 12-1 going into the second half. Messier finished with 4g-3a, 2 draw controls and 2 groundballs. Messier, who took the majority of the draws, was often instrumental in directing the ball to one of her teammates. Victor finished 10/23 at the draw, over half of their losses were due to technical fouls.
