Post Season Awards
Since the conclusion of the season, we have worked to collect all the Post Season Awards to release at a single time. As we approach a week out from the State Finals, we have determined that we cannot wait any longer. Tonight, we posted all the information that we have received and will update the missing data when it is provided. We have received some requests to update individual personal pages and apologize to those waiting to see their records updated.

Huge number of Games to Start May
There were fifteen games schedule tonight to open May. HFL defeated Eastridge 8-7 in overtime in the closest matchup of the night. Remaining scores included Irondequoit over Mercy 10-8, Marcus Whitman over Aquinas 10-9, Gananda over Geneva 16-10, Pal-Mac over Mynderse-Romulus 15-5, Waterloo over Wayne 13-10, Spencerport over Brighton 11-3, Hilton over Churchville-Chili 15-8, Fairport over Gates-Chili 20-1, Canandaigua over Penfield 11-5, Penn Yan over Newark-Midlakes 12-6, Thomas over Greece Storm 10-3, Pittsford over Schroeder 10-5 and RH over Victor 19-5.

There were 11 games scheduled for tonight in Section Five; we are still pending scores for Eastridge vs. Thomas and Mercy vs. Clarence. Hopefully, those will be updated soon. Of the nine remaining games, half were decided by over 10 points. There were still close match-ups with Geneva defeating Wayne 9-8 and Waterloo defeating Aquinas 8-7. The closest match-up was Baldwinsville's 6-5 overtime win over Brighton. Churchville-Chili also won a single goal game with their 7-6 win over Greece Storm. The Finger Lakes has released their 2018 All League Awards and Final Stadings. The Nine team division released 15 1st Team Awards, 15 2nd Team Awards and 17 3rd Team Awards. Additionally, Player of the Year honors were given to the top defenseman, attacker and midfielder. Waterloo's Andy Lee was named Coach of the Year.

R-H defeated Brighton 9-8 off a goal from Rayea Davis, Fairport defeated Canandaigua 10-9 off a goal from Morgan Schwab, Penfield over HFL 7-6 and Geneva over C-C 13-12. Additional scores were Spencerport over Pal-Mac 18-5, Waterloo over Aquinas 14-12, Mynderse-Romulus over Gananda 11-6 and Irondequoit over Greece Storm 9-2.

There were eight games played today. Scores for Lake Shore vs. Penn Yan and Penfield vs. South Jefferson are still pending. The closest of the reported games was Schroeder over Thomas 8-7 in overtime. Baldwinsville defeated Irondequoit 8-4, HFL defeated Pal-Mac 14-7, Waterloo defeated Chenango Forks 11-3, Mercy defeated Livonia 19-8 and Mynderse-Romulus defeated Mt. Mercy 18-3.

Marcus Whitman led at the break 8-6, but Penn Yan turned it around in the second period forcing overtime where the Wildcats came out on top.
