GANANDA-MARION-6 at MARCUS WHITMAN-11 - Marcus Whitman advanced in the Section V Class D quarterfinals with an 11-6 win over Gananda-Marion on Thursday, improving to 3-12. Freshmen carried the offense, with Kaylee Hey scoring three goals, Aubriella Bowman adding two goals and two assists, and Cerra Stape contributing two goals and an assist. Goalie Anna Chappell made seven saves at 54%. With the win, Marcus Whitman advances to the semifinals on Monday, where they will travel to Penn Yan.
For Gananda-Marion, senior Lily Aylett led with three goals and an assist, and Lexi Gallina added two goals.
