Churchville-Chili secured a 13-2 victory over Greece Storm in a Monroe County matchup on Monday evening. The teams last met on April 10 when Churchville-Chili secured a 14-3 win. The series history is a close one, with Greece Storm holding six wins to Churchville-Chili’s five.
Shavonne Callahan led Churchville-Chili’s attack, finishing with seven goals and two assists. Abigail DeVries scored four goals for the Saints, and Campbell Hewlett added two goals and an assist. In the net, Mikayla Mellenthine made seven saves with a 78% save rate in 36 minutes, while Emily Murano stopped two shots in 12 minutes without allowing a goal.
Erica Savage and Hannah Lovejoy accounted for the Greece goals. Erica Savage also recorded six draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover. Goalkeeper Ava Torrence made 17 saves for Greece Storm (3-6), finishing with a 57% save rate over 48 minutes.
