Holding just a slim 5-3 lead at halftime, the Royal Comets pulled away over the next 12 minutes, outscoring the Mustangs 5-1 in the third quarter. It was the Royal Comets' first win ever against Penn Yan, in the first game between the teams since 2010.
Riley Brown led Rush-Henrietta (11-5) with five goals and one assist. Kate DeWald contributed three goals and one assist. Danielle Garrett added two goals and three assists, and Isabella Artessa tallied two goals and one assist.
