2025-04-16 — Defending NYS class D champion Cold Spring Harbor (Section VIII) defeated Fairport in a non-league game on Wednesday. Maggie Spehr scored the winning goal in overtime off a feed from Ryan Reynolds. The Red Raiders rallied from a 6-2 halftime deficit to force overtime when Ella Peers scored with 22 seconds left in regulation.
Ryan Reynolds led Cold Spring Harbor with two goals and two assists, while Olivia Mulada had one goal and two assists. Other contributors for the Seahawks included Maggie Spehr (2g) and Ruby Spielberger (1g/1a). Maya Soskin stood out in goal, recording 10 saves.
For Fairport (2-4), Ella Peers, Camryn DuBose, and Ellie Miller scored two goals apiece, and Brenna Goss chipped in one. Ella Peers also secured eight draw controls. In goal, Marisa Test was no less outstanding than her Seahawk counterpart, saving 10 shots.
