Thursday - Aquinas Defeats Nichols
There were two games played on Thursday. Aquinas beat Nichols (Section VI) and Skaneateles (Section IV) beat Penfield 7-4.
NICHOLS 10 - AQUINAS 19 - Aquinas also played out of section tonight, as they traveled to Nichols and delivered a sound victory by almost doubling up Nichols by a score of 19-10. The Hinchcliffe sisters each scored 5 goals in the win and Gianna Leonardi (4g-2a) tied Sienna, the elder Hinchcliffe (5g-1a), to lead the team with 6 total points. Despite giving up double-digit goals, Aquinas also produced a robust defensive effort, causing 18 turnovers and collecting 28 GBs as a team. SKANEATELES 7 - PENFIELD 4 - Penfield fell to Skaneateles 7-4 in a non-sectional match-up held in Skaneateles tonight. The loss drops class A Penfield to 2-4 on the season. No book submitted was submitted for either team at time of post. [BOXSCORE]
