Friday - Wayne over Whitman 7-6

There were four games played today. Wayne had a close win with Marcus Whitman.

LIVONIA-AVON 7 - MYNDERSE-ROMULUS  13 - In a battle for hyphenated supremacy, Mynderse-Romulus defeated Livonia-Avon, 13-7, and improved to 3-2.  Mynderse-Romulus was led by Kelly Kohberger (4g/1a), Myah Herron (3g), Mackenzie Higby (2g/2a), and goalie Bridget Mapstone (7s).  Kelly Kohberger also collected seven draw controls.  The Blue Devils host Wayne on Monday.  The Bulldogs have another hyphenated showdown Monday against Pal-Mac.  There were no statistics reported from Livonia-Avon at post time.     [BOXSCORE]

GENEVA 6 - AQUINAS  12 -  Aquinas continued its unbeaten season with a 12-6 victory over Geneva.  It was the sixth straight win for the Little Irish.  Savannah Hinchcliffe (4g), Gianni Leonardi (4g/3a), Sienna Hinchcliffe (3g), and Carissa Schneider (1g/1a) accounted for all of Aquinas’s scoring.  Carissa Schneider also recorded six draw controls. MARCUS WHITMAN 6 - WAYNE  7 -  Wayne trailed 4-2 at the half but rallied to defeat Marcus Whitman by a score of 7 to 6.  It was Wayne’s second victory of the season.  Marley Hewitt tallied three goals for the Eagles.  Riley Simpson contributed two goals and an assist. Rylie Pratt had a fine all-around game, with two draw controls, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers.  There were no statistics reported from Marcus Whitman at post time.  [BOXSCORE]
