Wednesday - Mostly Mismatches

Waterloo won their game with Pal-Mac 11-8 but all the other games were mismatches.

RUSH-HENRIETTA 12 - FAIRPORT 7 -   In a battle of Class A Titans, Rush-Henrietta defended their home turf (or grass in their case) with a solid 12-7 victory over Fairport.  Goaltender Jaelyne Twomey and the Red Raiders kept the game close by sparring with R-H early and went into the break trailing only by a score of 5-3. However as they have done al season, the Royal Comets mounted a balanced, persistent and consistent onslaught in the offensive third of the field, battled for draw controls and gave Fairport fits trying the clear the ball with their relentless ride.  Avery Roberts (2g-1a), Catrina Rowe (3g) and Kate DeWald (1g-2a) paced R-H offensively with 3 point efforts, while Lena Cox (2g), and the Garrett sisters (1g-1a a piece) all chipped in with 2 point performances.  Fairport scored 7 unassisted goals, with young guns Katie Mallaber (3g), Ella Peers (2g) and Lily Kondas (2g) accounted for all of the Red Raiders scoring.  Twomey anchored Fairport’s defensive effort saving 13 shots with 52% save percentage.   [BOXSCORE]

PAL-MAC  8 - WATERLOO 11 - In the Finger Lakes, Waterloo traveled to Pal-Mac evened both teams records to 4-3 by defeating Pal-Mac 11-8.  Isabella Bourne (5g-1a), Maci Mueller (3g-2a) and Goalie Dana Jolly (7 Saves) led Waterloo to this important mid-season victory, while Junior Natalie DiSanto also scored 1 goal and dished out 2 assists on top of winning 4 Draw Controls.  Pal-Mac’s sophomore midfielder Reagan Diehl kept Pal-Mac close by netting 3 goals for the hat trick and also leading the team in transition by scooping 7 GB’s and causing 2 turnovers.  Kylie Waeghe (2g-1a) also notched 3 points for the Red Raiders in defeat.    [BOXSCORE]

PENN YAN  15 - MYNDERSE-ROMULUS 2 -  Penn Yan trounced Mynderse-Romulus 15-2 in Penn Yan.  Mackenzie Higby (1g-1a) factored on both of Mynderse-Romulus goals, and Haley Mosch (1g) also scored.  No book was submitted for Penn Yan at time of post.   [BOXSCORE]

BROCKPORT  2 - SPENCERPORT 17 -  Spencerport snapped a 4 game losing streak by taking Brockport to task in a 17-2 blowout.  Th Rangers came out strong building an ample 13-1 lead in the first half and seemingly took their foot off the gas in the second half.  Molly Guzik was the offensive leader for Spencerport with 3 goals and 2 assists and also helped keep Brockport on defense for the majority of the game by winning 10 Draw Controls, causing 2 turnovers and scooping 2 GB’s.  Spencerport spread the wealth with 10 different scorers on the evening including 3 point nights for Ruby DePalma (3g), Brooke Endres (2g-1a), Livia Fedele (2g-1a), and Adriana OHeron (3g).  Alyssa Nichols led the team in GB’s, collecting 4, and also won 4 additional possessions for Spencerport on Draw Controls.  No book was submitted for Brockport at time of post.     [BOXSCORE]

WAYNE  2 - GENEVA 17 - Geneva improved their record to 4-3 soundly beating Wayne 17-2.  Allie Good (3g-5a) had a prolific 8 point night, and Rylie McGhan netted the most goals, scoring 5 times while adding 1 Assist. Sophie Heieck (3g-1a) also scored a hat trick for Geneva, while senior midfielder Katelyn Ikle did the dirty work for Geneva, forcing 4 turnovers and grabbing 5 GB’s and 5 Draw Controls   Wayne’s goals were scored by Riley Simpson and Marley Hewitt.    [BOXSCORE]

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA  15 - CHURCHVILLE-CHILI 3 -  Playing at home this evening, HF-L dominated Churchville-Chili 15-3 behind a quartet of hat tricks, scored by Shaye Angelo (3g-1a), Jenna Bovenzi (3g), Whitley Easton (3g), and Clare Ruff (3g).  Sophomore midfielder Paige Kidd was the defensive star of the evening gathering possessions for HF-L by 4 draw controls and 1 ground ball, while also forcing Churchville-Chili to turn the ball over 3 times.  The divisional win improves HF-L to 5-4, and drops Churchville-Chili to 0.500 at 4-4.  No book was submitted for Churchville-Chili at time of post.   [BOXSCORE]

VICTOR  15 - GREECE STORM 1 -  In a battle of one loss teams coming into the contest, Victor dominated Greece 15-1, scoring 12 of their goals in the first frame.  Mackenzie Gibaud scored Greece’s lone goal, while Goaltender’s Rylee Brendlinger and Emily Scheuer each played a half and had 5 saves a piece.  No book was submitted for Victor at time of post.   [BOXSCORE]

SCHROEDER  3 - IRONDEQUOIT 13 - Irondequoit traveled to Webster-Schroeder and mounted a double-digit victory, defeating the Warriors 13-3 in a Monroe County match-up.  With the win, Irondequoit creeps closer to 0.500 at 4-6.  No book was submitted for either team at time of post.    [BOXSCORE]
