Friday - Saints over Lakers

There were six games played on Friday. The most interesting may have been Churchville-Chili`s 8-7 win over Livonia-Avon.

HORSEHEADS 11 - PENN YAN 10 - In the day’s other non-league contest, Horseheads (section 4) outlasted Penn Yan, 11-10.  The Mustangs face off Monday against another talented section 4 team, Corning.  There were no statistics reported from Penn Yan at post time.    [BOXSCORE]

EASTRIDGE 7 - PAL-MAC 16 - Visiting Pal-Mac recorded a 16-7 win at Eastridge.  Reagan Diehl (3g/3a), Kylie Waeghe (4g/3a), and Jenna Santelli (3g) led the scoring for the Red Raiders, who improved to 9-3 with the victory.  Both teams resume play on Monday, with Pal-Mac hosting Newark-Midlakes and Eastridge hosting Aquinas.  There were no statistics reported from Eastridge at post time.   [BOXSCORE]

VICTOR 16 - SPENCERPORT 5 -  Victor raced to a 11-3 halftime lead and coasted to a 16-5 win over Spencerport.  The Blue Devils host Brighton on Monday.  Molly Guzik (4g/1a/5dc/1gb) had a strong game in a losing effort for the Rangers, who travel to Irondequoit Monday.  There were no statistics reported from Victor at post time.  [BOXSCORE]

LIVONIA-AVON 7 - CHURCHVILLE-CHILI 8 - Churchville-Chili escaped Livonia-Avon with a narrow win, defeating the Bulldogs, 8-7.  Sydney Bailey (5g) and Alaina Reina (3g/2a) accounted for all of the Saints’ scoring.   For Livonia-Avon, Kylie Buckley had five goals and Mia Martucio recorded nine saves.  On Monday, Churchville-Chili visits Thomas and Livonia-Avon plays host to Brockport.    [BOXSCORE]

BRIGHTON 9 - BALDWINSVILLE 14 -  In the first of two non-league games today, Brighton dropped a 14-9 decision against a tough squad from Baldwinsville (section 3).  It was only the Bruins’ second loss of the season.  Brighton faces another difficult challenge on Monday when the Bruins travel to Victor.  There were no statistics reported from Brighton at post time.  [BOXSCORE]

BROCKPORT 8 - MYNDERSE-ROMULUS 12 - The Blue Devils from Mynderse-Romulus evened their record at 5-5 with a 12-8 win over the Blue Devils from Brockport.  Mynderse-Romulus travels for a game Monday against Geneva, while Brockport visits Livonia-Avon.  There were no statistics reported from either team at post time.   [BOXSCORE]

NEWARK-MIDLAKES 1 - BISHOP KEARNEY 0 - Newark-Midlakes was awarded a forfeit when Bishop Kearney was unable to play.
