Aquinas-WOIS Advances in Class C

No. 4 Aquinas-WOIS outscored No. 5 Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 20-11 in a class C quarterfinal game on Tuesday. For the Little Irish, Brynn Henry led the scoring with nine goals; she also won seven draw controls, including her 100th of the season. Savannah Hinchcliffe had three goals and four assists. Kessa Sangasy (3g), Marilena Diaz (2g), Alex West (2g), Haley Bennett (1g), and Alexandria Stacy (1a) were also key offensive contributors. In goal, Angelina Masci made nine saves.

For Livonia-Avon-Geneseo, Sidney Clickner was the leading scorer, registering four goals and one assist. Lily Rowe added two goals and an assist. Goalkeeper Annabelle Reynolds finished with six saves. The Lakers conclude their season with a record of 9-8.

With the win, the Little Irish earned a berth in the class C semifinals, where they will take on No. 1 Pal-Mac on Thursday.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
