Penn Yan defeated Eden Central (section VI) 19-3 in a class D sub-regional contest Thursday at Williamsville South. Junior Bailey Cooper led the Mustangs with six goals and one assist; her fifth goal of the game was the 300th of her career. Ten players scored for Penn Yan, including sophomore Gracelynn Lewis, who recorded her first varsity goal. Other key scorers included Ruby Berry (2g/2a), Makenna Mullins (3g), and Gianna Voigt (1g/3a). Bailey Cooper and Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger combined to win 15 draw controls for Penn Yan.

The Mustangs now move on to the regionals, where they will face South Jefferson (Section III) Saturday at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse.  [ Story and BOX SCORE]
