Big Night on Saturday

There were 11 games scheduled throughout Section Five tonight including two out of town games: Ithaca over Fairport 12-8 and LaFayette over Newark-Midlakes 19-10.  The closest matchup was Aquinas over Penn Yan 14-12.  Additional scores included Canandaigua over Victor 12-5, Thomas over Gates Chili 23-0, Penfield over Greece 15-3, Mercy over Waterloo 13-4, Irondequoit over Brockport 20-2, Pal-Mac over Wayne 19-3, Pittsford over R-H 11-5 and Schroeder over Churchville-Chili 12-4.

Schroeder won their 7th match of the season in defeating Churchville-Chili 12-4.  Annie Mulhall led in scoring with 6 goals.  Haley Bolton finished with 3g-1a.  Bolton also led in draw controls with 5.  In the cage, Jorden Concordia finished with 10 saves (71%).  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac defeated Wayne 19-3 with Andra Savage (5g-2a), Jamie Walker (4g-2a) and Emma Arnold (4g-2a) led in scoring for the Red Raiders.  Savage led in draw controls with 8, Arnold led in groundballs with 6 and caused turnovers with 3.  Additional stats are HERE.

Irondequoit defeated Brockport 20-2 after leading 13-1 at the half.  Bridget Inclema led in scoring with 2g-6a.  Marina Butler (3g-1a) and Erika Sherwood (1g-3a) added to the scoring total.  Kennedi Landrigan led in draw controls with 5.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mercy led 11-0 at the half on their way to a 13-4 win over Waterloo.  Kristyn Johnson led with 1g-3a.  She also led in draw controls with 3.  Additional stats are  HERE.

Penfield defeated Greece Storm 15-3.  For the Storm, Jazmine Darling, Desirae Ingham, Kelsey Nugent and Erica Padulo each recorded 1 point.  Darling also led in draw controls with 2 and Alexa Martel led in ground balls (9) and caused turnovers (5).  Additional stats are HERE.

Thomas defeated Gates-Chili 23-0 with Cate Robarge leading at 3g-7a.  Jillian Gallanti led in draw controls with 9.  Cate Robarge and Isabelle Robarge led in caused turnovers with 3 each.  Additional stats are HERE.

Aquinas led Penn Yan 9-6 at the half and held off the Mustang comeback to win 14-12.  Leading in scoring for the Little Irish was Sienna Hinchcliffe with 8g-1a.  She also finished with a team leading 13 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

LaFayette defeated Newark-Midlakes 19-10.  When updated, additional stats will be HERE.
