Ten Games on Friday Night

There were ten games tonight with the closest goal at a 3 goal differential.  Gananda defeated Newark-Midlakes 10-7, Penfield defeated Victor 13-10 and Brighton defeated Canandaigua 6-3.  Remaining scores included, Aquinas over Sacred Heart 18-11, Marcus Whitman over Geneva 14-8, Penn Yan over Mynderse-Romulus 13-7, Pal-Mac over Waterloo 15-4, Spencerport over Thomas 9-3 and Hilton over Gates Chili 15-1.

Hilton defeated Gates Chili 15-1.  Sydney Carpenter led in draw controls with 8.  Offensively, she finished with 4g-3a.  Logan Hibbard added another 1g-2a.  Danielle Mojsej recorded 3 groundballs and 3 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Gananda defeated Newark-Midlakes 10-7 tonight.  The game was back and forth with Gananda taking a lead and Newark-Midlakes fighting back.  The game was tied at the first three point breaks before Gananda scored three straight to end the first and start the second half.  After that Newark-Midlakes stayed close, couldn`t tie the game again.  Leading in scoring for the Blue Panthers was Sydney Buchko with 4g-1a.  She also led in draws with 5 and ground balls with 7.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport scored six of the first seven goals in their 9-3 win over Thomas.  Camryn Sack led with 2g-3a.  Natalie Choate (3g-1a), Erin Coykendall (3g-1a) and Paige Pohleven (1g-1a) rounded out the scoring.  For Thomas, Maddie Quinlan led with 1g-1a.  She also led in draw controls with 2.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penn Yan gave Mynderse-Romulus their second loss of the season with a 13-7 win.  Leading for the Mustangs was Alison Winslow with 2g-3a.  Haylet Anderson led in draw controls with 5.  Additional stats are HERE.

Brighton led 3-3 at the half and held Canandaigua scoreless in the second half to win 6-3.  Susan Lafountain (2g-1a) led offensively.  Katie Lederman and Megan Marangola both recorded 2 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac defeated Waterloo 15-4 after leading 12-1 at the half.  Jamie Walker led for the Red Raiders with 2g-5a.  Andra Savage added another 3g-3a.  She also finished with a team leading 6 draw controls.  Grace Seither finished with 3 caused turnovers.  For the Indians, Kari Jensen led with 2g-1a.  Additional stats are HERE.

Marcus Whitman defeated Geneva 14-8.  The Panthers were led by Lauren DeVaney with 3g.  Tonight marked her 100th career point for Geneva.  Additionally, Emma Bossard recorded her first Varsity career goal for the Panthers.  Additional stats are HERE.
