Penfield and Victor Win in States

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - In a thrilling day of championship girls lacrosse at SUNY Cortland, Penfield and Victor emerged victorious. Penfield claimed its first-ever NYS class A title with a decisive 9-3 victory over Suffern, showcasing a suffocating defensive effort and a spectacular all-around game from Avery Fordham. Victor edged Garden City 12-9, with Maia Pronti scoring the go-ahead goal late in the fourth quarter; with the win, the Blue Devils have now won four consecutive NYS class B titles. 

SUFFERN-3 at PENFIELD-9 - With the win, Penfield earned its first-ever New York State championship. Avery Fordham had four goals and Karis Hand made eight saves to lead the Patriots. Penfield finishes the season with an 18-3 record.    [ Story and BOX SCORE

GARDEN CITY-9 at VICTOR-12 - Maia Pronti had two goals and three assists, including the 150th assist of her career, to lead Victor to its fourth consecutive NYS class B title. Morgan Livingston had four goals and an assist. Victor concludes its season with a record of 18-4.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
