Tuesday: Fairport over Irondequoit

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY -  Fairport, Brighton and the newly-formed Waterloo-Marcus Whitman team were winners today. There were six teams playing and, sadly, only one turned in a game report.

IRONDEQUOIT-8 at FAIRPORT-14 - In the closest game of the evening, Fairport opened their season at home with an impressive14-8 victory over Irondequoit. Fairport dominated from wire to wire, establishing a 7-3 lead by halftime and extending the margin to 6 in the second half.  Ella Peers and Lily Kondas led Fairport with 4 goals a piece, while Katie Mallaber (1g-3a) acted as Fairports main distributor, also notching 4 points. Ava Peers earned possessions for Fairport, collecting 6 Draw Controls, while also scoring 2 goals. Fairport remains home for a clash with Penfield this Friday, while Irondequoit will host HFL in their home opener.  No Book was submitted for Irondequoit at time of post.   [BOXSCORE]

HILTON-4 at BRIGHTON-18 - Brighton began their 2023 campaign by beating Hilton 18-4.  Brighton scored 3 goals within the first few minutes and never looked back from there. Brighton will take 2 weeks off, and next plays at Webster Schroeder on April 12.  While Hilton will host Greece this Friday. No book was submitted for either team at time of post.   [BOXSCORE

GENEVA-8 at WATERLOO-MARCUS WHITMAN-16 - GENEVA 8  - In Finger lakes action, Waterloo-Marcus Whitman doubled up Geneva 16-8 in Waterloo. Waterloo will look to stay undefeated as they will welcome Mercy on Thursday, and Geneva will seek to even their record when they host Pal-ac in their home opener in 2 weeks.
