RUSH-HENRIETTA 6 - PITTSFORD 4  - What better way to open the season than a re-match of the last few Class A Sectional Title games.  In Rush Henrietta tonight, RH again topped Pittsford by a score of 6-4.  As is customary for early season lacrosse, the game was a hard-fought defensive battle in poor weather.  In a balanced a low scoring game, only Danielle Garrett (2g), and Lena Cox (1g,1a) were multiple point scorers.  Defensively, Goalie Angelia Oeschsle made 8 Saves while allowing only 4 goals and Junior midfielder, Catrina Rowe earned valuable possessions for the Comets scoping 3 Ground balls and securing 3 Draw Controls. No Book was submitted for Pittsford at time of post.   [BOXSCORE

CANANDAIGUA 8 - MERCY 7  - Playing on back to back night, Mercy traveled to Canandaigua and took the Braves to the wire tonight.  Canandaigua took a 7-4 lead into the half on the strength of a 3 goal and 2 assist performance by Hanna Davis (3g, 3a), however Mercy fought back to tie the score 7-7 midway through the second half.  Then with 9:01 remaining, Canandaigua’s Liv Schorr (2g) received a feed from Davis and deposited it in the net for what proved to be the game winner and final goal of the game.  Goalie, Maggie Cross came through with 6 saves, while for the Monarch’s, Freshman Syd Cook (4g) was a menace from the 8-meter Arc, scoring all four of her goals from the 8.  Mercy also dominated the Draw Circle, although no DC stats were submitted for Marcy at the time of post.    [BOXSCORE]
