Saturday: Three Victories over Non-Section Opponents

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY -  In Saturday's action, Section V schools were victorious in all three non-league games played. Winning were Penfield, Spencerport, and Thomas.

PINE-RICHLAND PA-7 at PENFIELD-17 - In the first of two games played today in Spencerport, Penfield (2-1) defeated Pine-Richland (PA), a school located north of Pittsburgh, by a score of 17 to 7. Penfield opened an 11-3 first-half lead and cruised to victory. Emersyn Mathis (2g/5a), Peyton Rothfuss (5g/1a), Grace Rund (5g), and Jenna Capozzi (3g/1a) led the scoring for the Patriots. Olivia Lanning (6 dc), and Aleah Petre (8 dc) helped Penfield control the draw circle. The Patriots return to action when they host Thomas on April 4.   [BOXSCORE

LIVERPOOL-4 at THOMAS-14 - Like Spencerport, Thomas won its first completed game of the season , defeating Liverpool (III) by a score of 14 to 4. Gwen Newtown (5g/4gb), Kolbi Spencer (1g/3a/7gb), and Addison Schaeffer (2g/1a/6gb) paced the Titans. Megan Springer had eight saves. The Titans return to the field on April 4 when they visit Penfield.   [BOXSCORE

PINE-RICHLAND PA-3 at SPENCERPORT-11 - Later in the day, Spencerport also defeated Pine-Richland, 11–3. It was Spencerport's first completed contest of the season, following a suspended game earlier this week against Thomas. Leading the offensive surge for the Rangers was Alyssa Nichols, who had four goals and one assist. Mckenna Hussar recorded eight saves. The Rangers next host Irondequoit on April 11.   [BOXSCORE
