O`Brien`s Eight Points Lead Victor; Hilton Holds Off Schroeder

DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - Wednesday's girls lacrosse action saw Victor go past Honeoye Falls-Lima 16-5 behind three goals and five assists from Meaghan O'Brien and 11 saves from Mia Finocchario, while Livonia-Avon-Geneseo improved to 3-0 with a 15-4 win over Wayne as Maddie Whitford, Lily Rowe, and Sidney Clickner combined for 11 goals. Hilton held off a late three-goal rally to edge Schroeder 4-3, Gates Chili topped Brockport 7-5 despite nine saves from Jessica Maher, and Pal-Mac got three goals each from Anabelle Grant and Teagan Hudak in an 18-4 win over Gananda-Marion. Pittsford improved to 4-1 with a 12-6 win over Thomas, and the Fairport-Spencerport game was suspended for weather with Fairport leading 5-1.

GATES CHILI-7 at BROCKPORT-5 - The Spartans overcame a nine-save effort from Brockport goaltender Jessica Maher to earn the win.    [Story and BOX SCORE]  

WATERLOO/MYNDERSE/ROMULUS-10 at MARCUS WHITMAN-8 - Waterloo/Mynderse/Romulus improved to 2-5 with the win. Marcus Whitman is 1-3.    [Story and BOX SCORE]  

GANANDA-MARION-4 at PAL-MAC-18 - Anabelle Grant and Teagan Hudak scored three goals each to lead the Red Raiders. Lexi Gallina and Ella Michaels had two goals apiece for Gananda-Marion.    [Story and BOX SCORE]  

PITTSFORD-12 at THOMAS-6 - Pittsford improves to 4-1 on the season, while Thomas falls to 2-4. There were no statistics reported from either team at post time.    [Story and BOX SCORE]  

The game between Fairport and Spencerport was suspended for weather with 2:40 left in the first quarter and Fairport leading 5-1.
