Erin Coykendall Scores Game Winner

Spencerport's Erin Coykendall scored the game winning goal with 0:07 remaining on the clock.  The Rangers defeated Victor 13-12, for the first time in the program's history.  The Rangers and the Blue Devils had faced three previous times with Victor winning each one.  The last time they faced was in the Sectional Tournament Finals where the Blue Devils won 18-12 to secure the Class B Title.

Both team had opportunities to lead.  Victor scored the opening goal with an unassisted goal from Lucy Haggerty.  Three minutes later Spencerport scored back to back goals to take their first lead.  Both goals were scored unassisted by Maliah Benedetto.  Both teams traded goals with Victor taking a lead for a short time before Spencerport scored six out of seven goals to take an 8-5 lead.  The Rangers held the lead for nearly the remaining game.  With 13:45 remaining in the second half, Victor scored the first of a three goal run to tie the game.  Delaney Schottland, Emily Battisti and Kaci Messier each scored unassisted goals.  Messier's goal tied the game at 12-12.  Coykendall's game winning goal was her 5th of the night.

Benedetto finished with six draw controls to lead her team.  Coykendall led with 2 ground balls and 2 takes.  Natalie Choate also recorded two saves.  Between the pipes, Kiari Rufus recorded 8 saves.
