Wednesday's Games
Fourteen games were played today. HFL defeated Eastridge 18-1 in the largest differential of the day. Marcus Whitman defeating Wayne 12-11 in the closest game of the night. Additional games: Fairport defeated Greece Olympia/Arcadia 16-6, Waterloo defeated Geneva 15-9, Midlakes defeated East Rochester 10-2, Gananda defeated Newark 9-1, Aquinas defeated Nichols 9-5, Victor defeated Gates Chili 16-5, Pal-Mac defeated Penn Yan 12-7, Schroeder defeated Greece Athena/Odyssey 16-3, Brighton defeated Canandaigua 10-6, Irondequoit defeated Brockport 14-7, Pittsford defeated Churchville-Chili 11-2 and Spencerport defeated Thomas 12-8.

Marcus Whitman held off the late advance by Wayne to defeat the Eagles 12-11. The Eagles scored four of the final five goals, with Mary Panepento scoring the final goal with 0:08 remaining on the clock. She finished with 3g-1a, 6 draw controls and 8 groundballs. The Wildcats had seven different players score with Jordan Knapp (3g-1a) and Emily Thompson (2g-2a) leading. Additional stats are HERE.
Brighton scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed in their 10-6 win over Canandaigua. The Barons opening goals were scored by Katie Lederman, Susan Lafountain and Rene Gangarosa. Canandaigua kept the score close, but could not tie the game. Junior Kathryn Smolensky led in scoring with 3g-1a for Brighton. Additional stats are HERE.
Waterloo scored 8 goals in the first half on their way to a 15-9 win over Geneva. The Panthers scored four of the last five goals. Sydney Mittiga finished with 3a and Lilly Sellers with 2g-1a. Lauren DeVaney led in draw controls (4) and ground balls (6). For the Indians, Logan Castiglione (4g-4a) led in scoring. Sam Barnhart (5g-1a) and Evon Reese (3g-1a) also added points. After leading 3-2 at the half, Midlakes scored seven unanswered goals in the second half to defeat East Rochester 10-2. Both Bombers goals were scored by Madilynn Walsh. Alaina Forbes (4g-1a) and Claire Raes (4g) led in scoring for the Screaming Eagles. Additional stats are HERE.
Fairport scored the opening goal and never trailed in their 16-6 win over Greece Olympia/Arcadia. Sydney Meagher finished with 4g for the Red Raiders.
