Five Rescheduled Games
Five games were scheduled for today, most of which were rescheduled from yesterday's rain storm. Mercy defeated Aquinas 9-8 in double overtime in the closest contest of the day. Irondequoit defeated Spencerport 11-10, Pal-Mac defeated Waterloo 14-3, Penn Yan defeated Newark 13-3 and Schroeder defeated Livonia 18-4.

Irondequoit held off the late advance from Spencerport to defat the Rangers 11-10. Irondequoit attempted to pull away multiple times, but Spencerport kept up the pressure and fought back to within one four times. The final time, to bring the score to 11-10 was scored with 3:29 remaining. However, the Eagles defense kept them from tying the game. Spencerport was led by Maliah Benedetto with 5g-2a (4g off 8m shots). She also led her team in draw controls with 5. For the Eagles, Erika Sherwood recorded 3g-2a. After trailing by 1 at the half, Mercy defeated Aquinas 9-8 in double overtime to hand the Little Irish their second loss of the season. Mercy led by one with 2 minutes remaining in the game. Junior Erica Knapp scored the game tying goal to force overtime with 1:48 remaining. She finished with 3g for the Little Irish. Alana Piano led in scoring with 2g-3a for Aquinas. Eighth grader Caroline Murphy scored the game winning goal off an 8m free position shot in the second overtime period. She recorded 3g in the contest. Schroeder scored the first three goals and never looked back in their 18-4 win over Livonia. The Warriors were led in scoring by Madison Bell (3g-5a). Payton Lill recorded 9 draw controls and 5 groundballs. Kelsey Neslon added another 6 groundballs. Additional stats are HERE.
