Fourteen Games for Wednesday

With 14 games scheduled tonight, it was one of the biggest nights of the year.  Most games were one sided; however, HFL defeated Irondequoit 7-6 and Fairport defeated Victor 7-4.  Additional scores were Penfield over Oly/Arc 16-3, Waterloo over East Rochester 17-8, Mynderse over Newark 16-6, Brighton over Brockport 19-1, Canandaigua over Eastridge 20-1, Pittsford over Thomas 11-5, Spencerport over Schroeder 14-4, Penn Yan over Gananda 20-3, Marcus Whitman over Midalkes 19-8 and Pal-Mac over Wayne 18-1.  

In the closest contest of the night, HFL defeated Irondequoit 7-6.  The Cougars led 5-2 at halftime and held off the late advances by the Eagles to secure the victory.  HFL led 7-4 with 5:21 remaining.  The Eagles added their final goal with 0:49 left on the clock and won the ensuing draw control; however, they could not send the game into overtime.  Erika Sherwood led in scoring for the Eagles with 2g-2a.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport defeated Schroeder 14-4.  Each of the Warrior goals was scored by a different athlete: Madison Bell, Abby Moon, Kelsey Nelson and Kayla Purcell.  Bell, Paige Gottorff and Payton Lill each recorded 2 draw controls.  For the Rangers, Erin Coykendall led in draw controls with 8.  She also led in points with 4g-3a.  During the game, Erin scored her 200th career goal for the Rangers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Fairport led 4-3 at the half on their way to a 7-4 win over Victor.  Four different Red Raiders had 2 points each: Cameryn Dera (1g-1a), Maddie Howe (2g), Brittney Pollack (1g-1a) and Morgan Schwab (2g).  Howe also led in draw controls (3) and groundballs (4).  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac defeated Wayne 18-1.  Mary Panepento scored the lone goal for the Eagles.  For the Red Raiders, Anna Leva led in scoring with 4g-4a.  Emma Arnold added 3g-4a and Andra Savage 3g-2a.  Aldyn Savage led in draw controls with 4.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo and East Rochester played a close first half (7-6 Waterloo) before the Indians took off in the second half and defeated the Bombers 17-8.  Madilynn Walsh recorded 6 draw controls and 5 groundballs.  Additional stats are HERE.

Brighton defeated Brockport 19-1.  The Barons scored the first 17 goals before Emma Moulton scored for the Blue Devils.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penfield defeated Greece Olympia/Arcadia 16-3.  Savannah Smallidge scored all three goals for the Lightning.  Madison Corcoran finished with 1a.  Smallidge also led in draw controls and groundballs with 4 each.  Additional stats are HERE.

Marcus Whitman defeated Midlakes 19-8 after leading 8-3 at the half.  Midlakes was lead in scoring by Alaina Forbes with 5g.  Emily Thompson (6g-1a) and Abbie Alvord (2g-4a) led in scoring for the Wildcats.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penn Yan defeated Gananda 20-3.  All three goals for the Blue Panthers were scored by Melissa Camp.  Additional stats are HERE.
