Penultimate Day of Games

Twelve more games were played on the penultimate day of the regular season.  The closest match was Brighton over Spencerport 8-6.  Additional scores included, Canandaigua over Churchville-Chili 15-5, Mynderse over Gates Chili 15-3, Newark over East Rochester 9-5, RH over Hilton 15-5, Schroeder over Brockport 13-8, Pittsford over Irondequoit 13-1,  Waterloo over Geneva 20-8,  Penn Yan over Wayne 19-10, Fairport over Mercy 17-11, Thomas over HFL 11-8.  Penfield vs. Skaneateles was not reported; however social media reports Skaneateles over Penfield 11-5.

Brighton held off the late advances of Spencerport to defeat the Rangers 8-6.  The Barons scored the first five goals before Spencerport got on the board.  After the initial volley, the Rangers outscored Brighton 6-3.  Erin Coykendall scored 2g-1a for Spencerport, including the last goal with 0:36 remaining.  For Brighton, Katie Lederman led in scoring with 2g-1a.  Piper Davis led in draw controls with 4.  Additional stats are HERE.

Canandaigua scored the first nine goals in their 15-5 win over Churchville-Chili.  The Saints were led in scoring by Katie Cosgrove with 2g-1a.  For the Braves, LaRen Blakesley recorded 5g-2a.  Clancy Rheude finished with a team leading 6 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Fairport defeated Mercy 17-11 after leading 12-6 at the half.  Sami Carey led for the Monarchs with 3g-4a.  She also led in draw controls with 6.  Izzy Stockman added another 4 draws.  For the Red Raiders, Brittney Pollack led in scoring with 3g-4a.  Hannah Marafioti finished with 4g.  Sydney Meagher and Maddie Howe both recorded 5 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo led 7-4 at the half before scoring 13 goals in the second half.  The Indians defeated Geneva 20-8.  Leading in scoring was Logan Castiglione with 4g-5a.  Taylor Fairman played the majority of the game between the pipes and recorded 8s.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penn Yan defeated Wayne 19-10.  The Screaming Eagles' Bailey Jenkins led in draw controls with 9.  Mary Panepento added 6 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers to her 1g-2a.  Hannah Burns (2g-1a), Mackenzie Orcutt (3g) and Jillian Pembroke (3g) also added three points each.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pittsford defeated Irondequoit 13-1.  The lone Eagle goal was scored by Maira Brennan.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mynderse defeated Gates Chili 15-3.  The Blue Devils were led in scoring by Sadie Mapstone with 4g-4a.  She also led in draw controls (6) and groundballs (5).  Sarah Shaffer added another 3 draw controls and another 4 groundballs.  Additional stats are HERE.
