Semi-Final Match-ups
Updated 5/26/2018. We are now into full Brackets in all four Classes. In Class A, the top 4 seeds advanced. In Class B, the top 3 seeds advanced with Victor (5) defeating Mercy (4). In Class C, the top 4 seeds advanced. In Class D, the top 4 seeds advanced.
CLASS A:
The Class A Semi-Finals will be played at East Rochester on Saturday May 26th.
#1 Pittsford vs. #4 Penfield
Pittsford vs. Penfield is scheduled to be played on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Panthers and Patriots played earlier in the season with Pittsford winning 9-2. Today, Penfield defeatd Pittsford 6-5 to advance to the Finals. Penfield returns to the Finals for the ninth time in the past ten years. The last win for the Patriots was in 2013.
Penfield was led in scoring by Lucy Rugaber wth 3g-1a. Beth Lawatsch led in draw controls with 2. Additional stats are HERE.
Penfield will now face Rush-Henrietta (2) at 5:30 PM on May 29th.
#2 Rush-Henrietta vs. #3 Fairport
Rush-Henrietta vs. Fairport is scheduled to be played on Saturday at 1:00 PM. The Royal Comets and Red Raiders played earlier in the season with RH winning 19-9. Today, RH defeated Fairport 14-10 to advance to the Finals. This is the first time that the Royal Comets have made the Finals since they won in 2008.
Airport had six players make their offensive book with Sarah Falk (4g-1a) leading the offensive charge. Morgan Schwab led in draw controls with 8 and Elena Eichmann recorded 2 caused turnovers. Gabby Garrett led in scoring for the Royal Comets with 4g-3a. Rayea Davis added another 2g-4a to the total. Rachel Crane led in draw controls with 4. Additional stats are HERE.
Rush-Henrietta will now face Penfield (4) at 5:30 PM on May 29th.
CLASS B:
The Class B Semi-Finals will be played at East Rochester on Friday May 25th.
#1 Brighton vs. #5 Victor
Brighton vs. Victor is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 PM. The Barons and Blue Devils did not face during the regular season. Tonight, Brighton defeated Victor 11-2 to advance to the Finals. This is the first time that Brighton has made the Finals since 2014. The last time that they won the Title was in 2013 against Canandaigua.

Brighton will now face Spencerport (2) at 7:30 PM on May 29th.
#2 Spencerport vs. #3 Canandaigua
Spencerport vs. Canandaigua is scheduled for Friday at 5:30 PM. The Rangers and the Braves played earlier in the season with Spencerport winning 8-7. Tonight, Spencerport defeated Canandaigua 13-6. After a year off last year, this is the second year that Spencerport has made the Finals. The Rangers have never won a Section Five Title.
Spencerport scored the first six goals of the game and the Braves couldn't keep pace. The Rangers were led in scoring by Erin Coykendall with 1g-5a. Camryn Sack (4g) and Natalie Choate (3g-1a) also added to the totals. Coykendall also led in draw controls with 7. Hailey Ronney led with 2 caused turnovers. Additional stats are HERE.

CLASS C:
The Class C Semi-Finals will be played at East Rochester on Saturday May 26th.
#1 HFL vs. #4 Wayne
HFL vs. Wayne is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Cougars and the Screaming Eagles did not face during the regular season. The two teams have only face once (5/18/2012) in our database with HFL winning 19-1. Today, HFL defeated Wayne 17-4 to advance to the Finals. HFL is the six time defending Class C Champion.

#2 Geneva vs. #3 Newark-Midlakes
Geneva vs. Newark-Midlakes is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 PM. The Panthers and the Reds played earlier in the season with Geneva winning 4-3. Today, Geneva defeated Newark-Midlakes 9-4 to advance to the Finals. The Panthers last made the Finals in 2011.

CLASS D:
The Class D Semi-Finals will be played at Mynderse on Friday May 25th.
#1 Waterloo vs. #4 Pal-Mac
Waterloo vs. Pal-Mac is scheduled for Friday at 5:30 PM. The Indians and the Red Raiders played earlier in the season with Waterloo winning 13-12. Tonight, Pal-Mac defeated Waterloo 10-7 to advance to the Finals. This is the third straight year that Pal-Mac has made the Finals. The Red Raiders are the currently defending Class D Champions.
Pal-Mac was led in scoring by Jamie Walker (3g-1a) and Alea Javorowsky (4g). Emma Arnold led in draw controls (6), groundballs (4) and caused turnovers (4). Heather Weaver had a strong game between the pipes and finished with 10 saves (59%). Additional stats are HERE.
Pal-Mac will now face Penn Yan (2) at 5:30 PM on May 29th.
#2 Penn Yan vs. #3 Aquinas
Penn Yan vs. Aquinas is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 PM. The Mustangs and the Little Irish played twice during the regular season with Penn Yan winning 14-12 and then 13-11. Tonight, Penn Yan defeated Aquinas 16-8 to advance to the Finals. Penn Yan heads to the Finals for the second straight time this season. The last time that the Mustangs won the Title was in 2006.
Penn Yan was led in scoring by Hannah Keech (8g) and Sydney Bloom (3g-5a). Elissa Callaway added another 4g-2a to the total. Bloom also led in draw controls with 14 and recorded the teams lone caused turnover. Additional stats are HERE.
