Opening Day

The first game day of the season kicked off for Section Five with two games.  Brockport defeated Livonia 7-6 and Brighton defeated Mercy 11-9. 

Brockport held off the late push by Livonia to defeat the Bulldogs 7-6.  All six of the Livonia goals came in the secodn half.  Leading in scoring for Brockport were Maeve Grady (3g) and Emily Vergari (2g-1a).  Additoinal stats can be found HERE.

Brighton scored 11 goals in the first half in thier 11-9 win over Mercy.  The Monarchs scored five unanswered goals in the second half, but the Baron's held on for the win.  Leading in scoring for Mercy was Caroline Murphy with 4g-2a.  Murphy and Karli Harnischfeger both added 4 draw controls as well.  For Brighton, Rae Strazdins, Annie Perillo, Delaney McManus, Emma Little and Susan Lafountain each scored 2 goals.  Piper Davis and Lafountain each added 3 draw controls for the Barons.
