Biggest Night of the Year with Six Games

Moving into the next couple weeks, we will see a lot more than six games a night; however, tonight is the current champion with six contests.  The closest match-up was Baldwinsville's 6-5 overtime win over Brighton.  Churchville-Chili also won a single goal game with their 7-6 win over Greece Storm.  The remaining games were Eastridge over Gananda 10-3, Mercy over Mt. St. Mary 21-7, Mynderse-Romulus over Aquinas 16-3 and Pal-Mac over Livonia 16-2.

Baldwinsville won their second matchup in a row against Section Five opponents with a 6-5 OT win over Brighton.  The Bees defeated R-H on Wednesday 12-6.  Brighton's Susan Lafountain (2g) and Emma Little (1g-1a) led in scoring for the Barons.  Katie Lederman led in draw controls (4) and Eileen Keely and Megan Marangola each finished with 3 ground balls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Churchville-Chili scored 4 goals in the second half to defeat Greece Storm 7-6.  The game was tied 3-3 at the half.  For the Storm, Mackenzie Gibaud led with 3g.  Alison Dioguardi led in draw controls with 5.  Additional stats are HERE.

After a close first half (3-2 Gananda), Eastridge scored eight unanswered goals in the second half to win 10-3.  When updated, additional stats will be HERE.

Mercy defeated Mt. St. Mary 21-7 after leading 14-4 at halftime.  Sami Carey (3g-5a) and Kristyn Johnson (5g-1a) led in scoring.  Megan Polidori and Olivia Morey each recorded six saves between the pipes.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mynderse-Romulus opened their season with a 16-3 win over Aquinas.  Leading in scoring was Sydney Sandroni (2g-3a) and Sadie Bonetti (4g-1a).  Margaux Eller also added six ground balls for her team.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac led 13-2 at the half on their way to a 16-2 win over Livonia.  The Red Raiders were led in scoring by Jamie Walker with 4g-3a.  Emma Arnold (2g-4a) and Andra Savage (4g-2a) also added to the count.  Arnold also led in draw controls with 5 and Grace Seither led in ground balls with 3.  For Livonia, Lauren Connor and Adrienne Weber scored.  Connor also led in draw controls (3), ground balls (6) and caused turnovers (2) for the Bulldogs.  Additional stats are HERE.
