Big Night on Monday

Tonight was another big night of games with 12 games on the books.  Scoring is still pending for Penfield vs. Hilton, Wayne vs. Brockport and Victor vs. Gates Chili and will be updated when reported.  The closest matchup of the nights were three one goal games: Irondequoit over Brighton 10-9, Thomas over Churchville-Chili 8-7 and Gananda over Livonia 8-7.  The remaining scores were Aquinas over Geneva 13-5, Canandaigua over Schroeder 15-7, Marcus Whitman over Newark-Midlakes 12-7, Pittsford over Fairport 13-7, Spencerport over Eastridge 21-2 and Rush Henrietta over Greece Storm 17-3.

Canandaigua led 8-3 at the half in their 15-7 win over Schroeder.  There were multiple strong performances by the Warriors in the loss.  Goalie Jorden Concordia finished with 12 saves, 2 interceptions and 5 groundballs on the game.  Annie Mulhall led in scoring with 3g and 6 draw controls despite a heavy defense against her.  Additional stats are HERE.

After trailing early, Irondequoit came back in the second half, to tie the game at 7-7 with just over 15 minutes remaining.  The fought hard over the final fifteen minutes and defeated Brighton 10-9.  The Eagles scored the game winning goal with 0:10 left on the clock.  Maddie Verhagen fed the ball to Bridget Inclema for the game winner.  Leading for Brighton were Emma Little (2g-1a) and Delaney McManus (1g-2a).  Megan Marangola led in draw controls with 4.  For the Eagles, Maddie Greene (3g), Inclema (2g-1a) and Margaret Vay (3g) led in scoring.  Erika Sherwood led in draws with 7.  Additional stats are HERE.

Gananda fought back from a 7-2 deficit to defeat Livonia in overtime.  The Blue Panthers scored the final six goals of the game and held the Bulldogs scoreless for over 18 minutes.  Sydney Buchko was the major factor in the comeback.  She scored the final five goals for Gananda, including the game winner with 2:20 remaining in overtime.  Buchko and Lindsey Wunder each recorded 4 draw controls for Gananda.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport defeated Eastridge 21-2.  Erin Coykendall (7g-2a), Natalie Choate (3g-5a), Lily DePalma (3g-2a) and Camryn Sack (2g-2a) led in scoring for the Rangers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Aquinas defeated Geneva 13-5.  Leading in scoring for Geneva was Grace Validzic with 3g.  Additional stats are HERE.

RH defeated Greece Storm 17-3 after leading 10-2 at the half.  Greece's goal each game from a different player with Maryssa Angst, Jazmine Darling and Desirae Ingham scoring for the Storm.  Additional stats are HERE.

Thomas defeated Churchville-Chili 8-7.  Isabelle Robare led in scoring with 6g.  Molly McCabe led in draw controls with 6 and Cate Robarge led in groundballs with 3.  In the cage, Alyssa Piechota recorded 10 saves.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pittsford defeated Fairport 13-7.  When updated, additional stats will be HERE.

Marcus Whitman defeated Newark-Midlakes 12-7.  When updated, additional stats will be HERE.
