Welcome back to Section V lacrosse.  The 2022 Girls Lacrosse season opened today with five games. 

Gates Chili won their season opener with an 11-8 victory over visiting Gananda tonight, as senior attacker Maddy Xomvimane recorded six goals. It was the first win for the Spartans since May 12, 2007. (No report from Gananda.) [BOXSCORE]

HF-L won their non-league game against visiting Livonia-Avon 17-1. Senior midfielder Whitley Easton led the Cougar scoring with 4g-5a. Sophomore goaltender Lily Brady six saves (83%) for HF-L. (No report from Gananda.) [BOXSCORE]

Only two teams sent in anything more than the score. Hopefully, in the future, we will be able to report games here on game night.
