Monday: Whitman and Hilton Win by one

Most of the eleven games that were played on Monday were mismatches, but the Newark-Midlakes vs Marcus Whitman saw the Wildcats win 10-9 and Hilton beat Churchville-Chili 9-8.

BROCKPORT 7 - GREECE STORM 16 - Greece defeated Brockport 16-7, improving their record to 2-0 on the season.  Greece jumped out to an early 9-3 lead in the first half and continued with a less dominant but still convincing effort in the second half to take home the Win.  Greece’s 3-Headed Monster of Alison Dioguardi, Mackenzie Gibaud, and Mara Misiurewicz each scored 5 goals, and Gibaud and Dioguradi also added 3 assists for impressive 8-point games.  Erica Savage dominated the ground game with 6 Draw Controls, 4 Ground Balls and 2 Caused Turnovers in the contest.  Emily Scheuer had a whopping 11 saves in net for the Storm.  There was no book submitted for Brockport at the time of post. LIVONIA-AVON 7 - GENEVA 15 - Geneva beat Livonia 15-7 this evening.  Allie Good led all scorers with 5 goals and 3 assists, while Katelyn Ikle also starred in the victory, scoring 6 goals for the Panthers.  In between the 30s, Mikayla Myer grabbed 5 Draw Controls and 4 ground balls, and also notched a goal.  Rylie McGahn (3g, 3DC), and Sophie Heieck (2g, 4GB) were also strong contributors in the Panther victory.  There was no book submitted for Livonia at time of post. NEWARK-MIDLAKES 9 - MARCUS WHITMAN 10 - In another tight match, Marcus Whitman edged Newark-Midlakes, 10-9.  It was the Wildcats’ first win and the Reds’ first loss of the season.  Marcus Whitman hosts Geneva on Wednesday.  Newark-Midlakes is at home Wednesday against Mynderse-Romulus.  There were no statistics reported from either team at post time.    [BOXSCORE]

SPENCERPORT 6 - RUSH-HENRIETTA 13 - Visiting Rush-Henrietta downed Spencerport, 13-6.  The Royal Comets gained their third victory of the season against no losses.  Kate DeWald (3g/1a) and Megan Schillinger (3g) were the scoring leaders for Rush-Henrietta.  Avery Roberts had nine draw controls for the Royal Comets.  For Spencerport, Ruby DePalma had two goals and one assist.  Molly Guzik had three draw controls.  The Rangers remain winless on the young season.  Rush-Henrietta travels Wednesday to play against Greece Storm.  Up next for Spencerport is an away game against Eastridge on Wednesday.     [BOXSCORE]

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI 8 - HILTON 9 -  In the game of the day, Hilton also notched their first victory of the season with a narrow 9-8 win over Churchville Chili.  The game was closely contested throughout, and Hilton took a 5-4 lead into the half and held onto that one goal lead as the teams each tallied 4 goals in the second half.  Fiona French (3g, 2a) and Lillian Mattucci (3g, 1a) were the offensive catalysts for Hilton, while Luciana Dodge recorded a remarkable 12 saves in Goal.    Churchville-Chili hung tough throughout with 4 goal efforts from both Alaina Reina and Madison Buck. MERCY 3 - CANANDAIGUA 14 - Canandaigua traveled to Mercy to face the Monarchs and returned home after delivering a convincing 14-3 victory.  Mercy stayed close in the first half, holding the Braves to an 8-3 lead, however a 6-0 second half saw the Braves pull away.  Olivia Schorr (5g, 1a) and Hannah Davis (4g, 2a) each notched 6 points for CA, while Abbey Herod cleaned up 7 Draw Controls and distributed 4 assists.  Caroline Lyttle anchored the strong defensive effort causing 4 turnovers.  Karli Harnischfeger led Mercy with 2 goals, both assisted by Audrey Seibold.  Mercy Goalkeepers Olivia Moore and Katherine Longuil combined to make 8 saves. HF-L 4 - VICTOR 13 - Victor defeated Honeoye Falls-Lima by a score of 13-4.  Victor remains undefeated at 3-0.  Eva Pronti (3g/3a) and Caitlin Keenan (3g/1a) led a balanced scoring attack for Victor.  Honeoye Falls-Lima suffered its first loss after two wins to start the season.  The Blue Devils host Pittsford on Wednesday.  The Cougars play Wednesday at home against Gates Chili.  There were no statistics reported from Honeoye Falls-Lima at post time. FAIRPORT 13 - SCHROEDER 4 - Fairport built a 9-1 halftime lead on its way to a 13-4 victory over visiting Schroeder.  Fairport improved to 3-1 on the season.  Lily Kondas (3g), Katie Mallaber (3g), Makayla Keys (2g/2a), and Ella Peers (2g/2a) led the scoring for Fairport.  Ava Peers had six draw controls.  Schroeder is 2-2.  Makenna Baier, Stefanie Sellitto, Kylee Race, Ava Dossier, and Ella Dossier each scored a goal for Schroeder.  The Red Raiders play host to Brighton on Friday, while the Warriors travel for a game at Canandaigua. PITTSFORD 9 - IRONDEQUOIT 5 - Pittsford won its season opener at home, defeating Irondequoit by a score of 9-5.  It was the Eagles’ second loss to open the season.  Irondequoit has its first home game on Wednesday against Thomas.  There were no statistics reported from either team at post time. GANANDA-MARION 2 - WAYNE 8 - In early action today, Wayne recorded their first win of the season, 8-2 over Gananda-Marion.  Rylie Pratt led the offensive charge for Wayne with a hat trick, Marley Hewitt scored 2 goals, and Emma Lockwood chipped in 1 goal and 1 assist.  Gaby Taylor had 7 saves in goal, and Allie Chimenti caused 3 turnovers.  There was no book submitted for Gananda-Marion at time of post.   [BOXSCORE]
