Multiple Close Games

Today saw multiple close games with Mercy defeating Brockport 5-3, Waterloo defeating Geneva 7-5 and Livonia defeating Wayne 12-9.  There were also a number of one sided contests with Penn Yan defeating Gananda 11-3, Marcus Whitman defeating Newark 13-1 and Spencerport defeated Gates-Chili 19-3.  Pal-Mac also defeated Aquinas 15-9.

Penn Yan defeated Gananda to remain undefeated in their history (8-0 Penn Yan).  Jenna Ginsberg scored 2g to lead the Blue Panthers.  More information can be found HERE.

After being tied 3-3 at the half, Mercy scored two unanswered goals in the second half to secure the 5-3 win over Brockport.  The Blue Devils had three different scorers make the book with Leah Daly, Tori Penders and Tori Lammes each scoring 1g.  Mercy scoring came from Katie Sergeant (3g) and Izzy Stockman (2g). In the closest game of the night, Waterloo scored the final two goals to defeat Geneva 7-5.  The full story can be found HERE.

Newark scored the final goal of the game to get on the scoreboard in Marcus Whitman 13-1 win over the Reds.  Abbie Alvord led in scoring for the Wildcats with 5g.  Additional stat information and a scoring table cane be found HERE.

Pal-Mac defeated Aquinas 15-9 to move to 1-1 on the season.  Attackmen Kendall Jones (5g) and Anna Leva (2g-6a) led in scoring for the Red Raiders.  Additional stats can be found HERE.

Livonia held off a late advance by Wayne to defeat the Eagles 12-9.  Wayne scored seven goals in the second half.  Leading in scoring for the Bulldogs were Lindsey Lopresto (7g-2a) and Audrey Weber (4g).  Wayne was led by Mary Panepento (5g) and Casey Hibbard (3a).  Additional stats can be found HERE.

Spencerport defeated Gates Chili 19-3.  Erin Cokendall (5g-4a) and Maliah Benedetto (3g-2a) led in scoring for the Rangers.  Additional stats can be found HERE.
