Friday - Brighton Wins in Overtime
Brighton has an overtime win against Penfield which must have been a good game.
GANANDA- MARION 2 - PENN YAN 18 - Penn Yan breezed to a 18-2 victory over Gananda-Marion. Ten players lit the scoring lamp for the Mustangs, led by Bailey Cooper (3g/3a). Corinne Barden, Ruby Berry, Irelynd Densmore, and Gianna Voigt chipped in two goals apiece. With the win, Penn Yan lifted its record to 5-4. The Mustangs host Newark-Midlakes on Monday. GENEVA 5 - PAL-MAC 11 - In Geneva, Pal-Mac outlasted the Panthers, 11-5. The Red Raiders (5-3) were led by Reagan Diehl (3g/1a), Kylie Waeghe (5g), Molly Seither (7dc/3gb), and Faith Beals (5s). PENFIELD 9 - BRIGHTON 10 OT - Brighton edged Penfield, 10-9. It was the Bruins’ third overtime win of the season---their second against the Patriots---and their sixth straight win after a season-opening loss. Dating back to the 2021 season, the last four games between these two teams have been decided by a total of five goals.
