Monday - Fairport and Brighton Win

Mercy had a good win against Fairport as they won 10-9. Brighton had a close game with Spencerport and won 13-11. The vast majority of games were mismatches.

AQUINAS 17 - BISHOP KEARNEY 1 - Aquinas defeated Bishop Kearney, 17-1.  Sienna Hinchcliffe was a wrecking machine for the Little Irish, recording four goals, one assist, 10 draw controls, three ground balls, and four caused turnovers.  Mackenna Brown (2g/2a), Savannah Hinchcliffe (3g), Gianna Leonardi (3g), and Ryan Springer (3g/2a) were also major contributors for Aquinas.  Aquinas is 8-1.  There were no statistics reported from Bishop Kearney at post time.    [BOXSCORE]

WATERLOO 17 - GENEVA 6 - Waterloo improved to 6-3 with a convincing 17-6 victory over Geneva.  For Waterloo, the attack was led by Tabatha Winter (2g/4a), Maci Mueller (4g/2a), and Natalie DiSanto (6g/1a).  Natalie DiSanto also dominated the center circle, collecting 10 draw controls.  Dana Jolly had eight saves.  Katelyn Ikle and Grace Validzic had two goals apiece for the Panthers. MARCUS WHITMAN 4 - LIVONIA-AVON 8 -  Livonia-Avon collected its fifth victory of the season with an 8-4 road win over Marcus Whitman.  Olivia Herod (2g), Lily Morse (1g/4dc/5gb/1ct), and Hannah Baker (7s) had solid games for the Wildcats, who host Penn Yan on Wednesday.  There were no statistics reported from Livonia-Avon at post time.    [BOXSCORE]

PAL-MAC 14 - MYNDERSE-ROMULUS 5 - Pal-Mac soundly defeated Mynderse-Romulus 14-5.  The win brings Pal-Mac to 7-3 on the season.  Pal-Mac’s dynamic duo of Reagan Diehl (3g-2a), and Kylie Waeghe (3g-4a) again gave opposing defenders fits tonight accounting for 12 points between them.  Teagan Hudak also had productive night, scoring 3 goals while also registering 1 assist.  Freshman Jena Santelli (1g-2a) contributed across the board and helped limit the Blue Devils to 5 goals by collecting 3 Draw controls, causing 2 turnovers and scooping 3 GB’s.   Mynderse-Romulus got multi point performances from Chelsea Korzeniewski (1g-2a) and Myah Herron (1g-1a).    [BOXSCORE]

PENN YAN 15 - NEWARK-MIDLAKES 1 - Penn Yan improved to 6-4 on the season as they nearly shut-out Newark-Midlakes with a 15-1 win over the Reds this evening.  Avery Castner (4g-2a) and Bailey Cooper (1g-5a) led all scorers with 6 points a piece, while Kaley Griffin (2g-1a) and Corinne Barden (1g-2a) also logged 3 point performances for the Mustangs.  Taylor Mullins helped keep the Newark-Midlakes offense at bay by causing 3 turnovers and securing 6 GB’s.  No book was submitted for Newark-Midlakes at time of post.       [BOXSCORE]

WAYNE 14 - GANANDA-MARION 4 - Wayne won its fourth game of the season, defeating Gananda-Marion, 14-4.  Eight players scored for Wayne, including Riley Simpson (2g/2a), Marley Hewitt (3g/1a), Allie Chimente (2g), Isabella Veltre (2g), and Madelyn Hillman (2g).  Peyton Walton had three assists.  Mimi Ugalde had an outstanding game in goal, recording nine saves.  There were no statistics reported from Gananda-Marion at post time.    [BOXSCORE]

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA 7 - PITTSFORD 11 - Pittsford (9-3) built a 10-1 halftime lead and held on to defeat Honeoye Falls-Lima by a score of 11 to 7.  Honeoye Falls-Lima falls to 5-5.  On Wednesday, Pittsford hosts Rush-Henrietta and Honeoye Falls visits Eastridge.  There were no statistics reported from either team at post time.    [BOXSCORE]

CANANDAIGUA 2 - VICTOR 6 - Canandaigua vs. Victor -  In a marquee match-up, and a re-match of last year’s sectional final, Victor exacted some revenge for that loss by defeating the Braves 6-2 in a hard fought defensive battle in Canandaigua.  Victor brought a number 4 National ranking into the contest, and Canandaigua was themselves ranked #8 in the most recent publication.  Victor carried a 2-1 lead into halftime as both teams used the first half to feel each other out, and then outscored the Braves 4-1 in the second half to secure the four goal victory.  Abbey Herod led the Braves in defeat, scoring both of Canandaigua’s goals and adding a draw control, a Caused turnover, and ground ball.  Maggie Cross helped the Braves defense keep the game close with 6 Saves.  Victor won the game behind 2 goals a piece for Olivia Bruno and Madison Mabbett, while Eva Pronti acted as the main distributor assisting on 3 of Victor’s 6 goals.  Kennedy Schotland was perhaps the biggest X-Factor in Victor’s win, keeping the Braves off the scoreboard with 9 Saves.    [BOXSCORE]

FAIRPORT 9 - MERCY 10 - In a tightly fought contest at Fairport, Mercy scored a late goal to edge the Red Raiders, 10-9.  It was the Monarchs’ eighth win of the season against three losses.  Mercy hosts Geneva on Thursday.   Ella Peers (3g) and Katie Mallaber (2g) led the scoring for Fairport.  The Red Raiders look to rebound against Greece Storm on Wednesday.  There were no statistics reported from Mercy at post time.     [BOXSCORE]

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI 2 - SCHROEDER 13 - Schroeder trounced Churchville-Chili tonight by a score of 13-2.  Schroeder most impressive performances were turned in by Stefanie Sellitto (4g), Brooke Guelli (2g-1a) and Makena Baier (1g-3a), and freshman Brooke Guelli also produced a great effort on the defensive side with 4 Draw Controls, 3 GB’s and 2 Caused turnovers.  The result tonight evened both teams records to 5-5.  No book was submitted for Churchill Chili at time of post.    [BOXSCORE]

BRIGHTON 13 - SPENCERPORT 11 - Brighton vs. Spencerport - Brighton defended heir home turf, defeating the Spencerport Rangers 13-11.  Spencerport was leading 7-6 at the half, however Brighton battled back with a strong second half performance to improve their record to 7-1.  Livia Fedele( 3g-2a) and Ruby DePalma (2g-3a) had productive offensive evenings’ for Spencerport, while Alyssa Nichols (3g) also recorded a hat trick in a losing effort.  Molly Guzik secured 8 Draw Controls for Spencerport, who nearly pulled off the upset against the 1-loss Bruins.  No book was submitted for Brighton at time of post.    [BOXSCORE]

PENFIELD 16 - GREECE STORM 4 - Penfield dominated Greece 16-4 tonight to notch their 3rd victory.  The loss drops Greece to 5-4 on the season.  Mackenzie Gibaud had 3 assists for Greece and Alison Dioguardi scored 2 of their 4 goals.  Rylee Brendlinger face a barrage of shots all evening and made 9 saves.  No book was submitted for Penfield at time of post.     [BOXSCORE]
