Tuesday - CA by One - BK by One

There were two close ones today. Canandaigua beat Skaneateles in a low scoring 3-2 and Bishop Kearney beat Newark-Midlakes 11-10.

BISHOP KEARNEY 11 - NEWARK-MIDLAKES 10  -  Bishop Kearney continued their late season ascent, improving their record to 5-9 with a hotly contested 11-10 victory over Newark-Midlakes.  The Kings held on to their one goal lead from halftime , and also overcame stellar efforts from Stella Del Papa (6g-1a), and Melea Kuzmenko (9 saves) for the Reds in order to secure the win.  The loss drops Newark-Midlakes to 6-8.  No Book for Bishop Kearney at time of post.       [BOXSCORE]

GREECE STORM 5 - HILTON 9  - Hilton defeated Greece Storm by a score of 9-5 this evening to improve their record to 4-11, while Greece dropped to 6-9.  Alison Dioguardi notched a Hat Trick for Greece while Mackenzie Gibaud (1g-2a) added a 3-point effort of her own and Goalie Rylee Bredlinger made 10 saves for the Storm in a losing effort.  No book for Hilton at time of post.        [BOXSCORE]

SKANEATELES 2 - CANANDAIGUA 3  - Canandaigua earned a gritty 7-2 victory over a talented out of section Skaneateles team this evening in Skaneateles.  The Braves came away from the first half with a narrow 3-2 lead on goals by Koehler Nieman (1g), Liv Schorr (1g) and Abbey Herod (3g-1a).  The Braves defense then completely shut down the Lakers, allowing zero second half goals, while Herod netted 2 more and Makena Crouse (2g) added 2 empty netters to seal the game.  Herod also added a Draw Control and 4 GB’s to her stat line, while Liv Schorr anchored the Braves robust defensive effort with 3 Caused Turnovers and 4 GB’s, and Maggie Cross kept the Lakers out of her net all night, recording 6 saves, while allowing only 2 goals.  The win concludes Canandaigua’s regular season, which they will finish 13-3 going into sectional play.  No book for Skaneateles       [BOXSCORE]

GENEVA 21 - GANANDA-MARION 3  - Geneva piled on Gananda-Marion tonight with a 21-3 lopsided win.  Lots of big numbers for the Panthers tonight as Allie Good (4g-4a) led all scorers with 8 points, while Grace Validzic (4g-2a), Sophie Heieck (3g-2a), Rylie McGhan (5g), Katelyn Ikle (2g-1a), and Natalie McFadden (2g) all posted multi-point lines.  No Book for Gananda-Marion at time of post.        [BOXSCORE]
