Monday: Pittsford Over Victor in OT

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - Fairport (7-0) withstood a furious second-half rally by Thomas for an 8-7 win, Livonia-Avon (1-2) scored seven second-half goals to secure the win. In the game of the night, Pittsford used 2 overtimes at Victor HS to outlast the Blue Devils in a hard-fought contest.

THOMAS-7 at FAIRPORT-8 -  Fairport (7-0) withstood a furious second-half rally by Thomas (2-4),  Jaelyne Twomey had seven saves to lead a staunch defensive effort for the Red Raiders.  There were no statistics reported from Thomas at post time.  Fairport travels to Rush-Henrietta Wednesday to play the Royal Comets in a battle of unbeatens, The Titans look to bounce back Wednesday when they host Brockport.  [ BOX SCORE

LIVONIA-AVON-9 at WAYNE-4 -  Livonia-Avon (1-2) scored seven second-half goals to secure the win for the Bulldogs.  For Wayne (1-3), Mimi Ugalde recorded six saves.   There were no statistics reported from Livonia-Avon at post time.  The Bulldogs return home Wednesday to take on Bishop Kearney.  The Eagles will also be at home Wednesday, when they face Waterloo-Marcus Whitman.    [ BOX SCORE

PITTSFORD-6 at VICTOR-5 - In the game of the night, Pittsford used 2 overtimes at Victor HS to outlast the Blue Devils in a hard-fought contest.  The game ended with Senior Paige Glantz scoring on a center hash 8-meter shot after Pittsford’s ride was able to cause multiple turnovers throughout the overtime periods.  No Book was submitted for either team at time of post.     [ BOX SCORE

AQUINAS-11 at SCHROEDER-9 -  Aquinas travelled to Webster Schroeder tonight and improved their record to 3-1 with an 11-9 victory.  Schroeder remains winless with the defeat.  Savannah (4g-2a) and Sienna (3g-3a) Hinchcliffe scored 6 points a piece to pace the Lil’ Irish in victory, and Gianna Leonardi (3g) also posted a Hat Trick for Aquinas.   No Book was submitted for Schroeder at time of post.   [ BOX SCORE

PENFIELD-6 at MERCY-8 -  Mercy hosted Penfield and won the game 8-6.  No book was submitted for either team at time of post.  Penfield plays Schroeder on 4/19 and Mercy plays Geneva on 4/21.   [ BOX SCORE

BISHOP KEARNEY-10 at NEWARK-MIDLAKES-12 - Newark-Midlakes evened its record at 2-2 with a narrow victory over Bishop Kearney (1-1).  Stella Del Papa scored five goals for the Reds, Kelsea Socha contributed four assists, Anna Verdine had four draw controls, and Melea Kuzmenko recorded eight saves. There were no statistics reported from Bishop Kearney at post time.  Both teams resume play on Wednesday, with Newark-Midlakes at home against Gananda-Marion, and Bishop Kearney on the road to face Livonia-Avon.   [ BOX SCORE

JORDAN-ELBRIDGE-13 at MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-11 -  In non-league action, Mynderse-Romulus lost its first contest of the season, falling to the visiting club from Jordan-Elbridge (III).  Kelly Kohberger (5g/8d/1gb/1ct), Chelsea Korzeniewski (3g/1a/3b), and Maria Del Carmen (9s) all excelled for the Blue Devils, who host Penn Yan on Friday.   [ BOX SCORE

HILTON-2 at IRONDEQUOIT-18 - Irondequoit pummeled Hilton this evening by a score of 18-2.  For Hilton, Sophia Gizzi and Charley Barlette each scored a goal, and Leah Kunisch picked up 6 GB’s.   No book was submitted for Irondequoit at time of post.   [ BOX SCORE

GREECE STORM-12 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-8 - Greece Storm earned its first victory of the season, led by Mara Misiurewicz (7g/3gb/2c), Emma Carlson (2g/4a/3gb), Erica Savage (3g/1dc/7gb), and Alison Dioguardi (3a/10dc/2gb/1ct).  Rory Turk had four goals and an assist in a losing effort for Churchville-Chili (2-3).  Greece hosts Gates Chili on Wednesday.  The Saints travel to Spencerport Wednesday to face the Rangers.     [ BOX SCORE

CORNING-1 at CANANDAIGUA-19 - Canandaigua hosted Corning from section IV this evening and sent them for a long bus ride home after a 19-1 drubbing.  Many scorers for Canandaigua this evening with Senior Liv Schorr leading the team in goals with 5, while also adding 4 GB’s, D/C’s and CT’s a piece for a well-rounded game.  Hanna Davis (1g-7a) facilitated for the entire game, leading the team in points with 8, and Sophomore Attacker Sami Lupton (3g-1a) was also able to break out for 4 points.  Canandaigua will face a storied Skaneateles program tomorrow at home.   [ BOX SCORE

BROCKPORT-8 at GANANDA-MARION-1 - For the Blue Devils from Brockport, it was their third victory against only one defeat.  Kendall Akers (3g) and Zoe Baase (4g) provided the bulk of the scoring for Brockport.  There were no statistics reported from Gananda-Marion (1-3) at post time.  The Blue Devils travel to Thomas Wednesday for a game against the Titans. The Blue Panthers will also be on the road Wednesday to meet Newark-Midlakes.    [ BOX SCORE

GENEVA-16 at EASTRIDGE-3 - Geneva won its first contest of the season, defeating the winless Lancers.  Allie Good (6g/2a) and Mikayla Myer (2g/3a/8dc/5gb) powered the offense for the Panthers, while Sophia Cosentino (9s) and Maddie Askin (4s) anchored the defense.  There were no statistics reported from Eastridge at post time.  The Panthers visit Penn Yan on Wednesday.   Eastridge hosts Schroeder on Friday,   [ BOX SCORE
