Geneva Outpaces Greece Storm
Geneva secured its second win of the season in a non-league game at home on Tuesday night, defeating Greece Storm by a score of 20-5. Geneva built a 7-1 lead in the first quarter and maintained control throughout.
Meghan Forbes led the scoring for the Panthers with eight goals and three assists, while Mackenna Harris added seven goals and controlled 12 draws. Velia DeMaria rounded out the attack with two goals and three assists. Eighth-grade attacker Allison Marquart scored her first varsity goal for Geneva. In the net, Maddie Askin made four saves in 36 minutes, while Ella Monson recorded one save in 12 minutes of play. Greece Storm, which fell to 1-2 on the season, did not provide player stats for the game.
Geneva's next matchup is against Mynderse-Romulus on Friday, while Greece Storm faces Gananda-Marion on Thursday.
