In its season opener, Mercy secured a victory over Hilton by a final score of 14-8. Maeve Shanahan led the Monarchs with four goals and one assist. Sydney Cook (3g), Mia Quagrello (2g/1a), and Mia Lusardi (2g/1a) were also multiple-goal scorers for Mercy.

Hilton's offense was anchored by Jayleigh Esposito’s two goals, while Charley Barlette added one goal and two assists. Contributions also came from Elena Graziano, Lilly Mattucci, Ryleigh Lent, and Maia Streb, each of whom recorded a goal and an assist. Goalie Juliana Turner had six saves.

Mercy looks to continue its momentum against Aquinas-WOIS on Wednesday, while the Cadets seek their first win of the season when they travel to Rush-Henrietta on Tuesday.
